Kylie Jenner Shuts Down Rumor Her Mom Is Managing Kanye and Travis Scott

There are few women who can guide a sex tape scandal into one of the most successful careers of all time. Kris Jenner is one of those women. It’s long been known that Kris is the mastermind behind her large family’s outrageous success, and it seems like her daughters’ beaus are taking note. Kanye West and Travis Scott are now reportedly receiving Kris’s momagerial guidance.

Sources have told Page Six that Kris is the reason behind West’s recent departure from his longtime manager Izvor “Izzy” Zivkovic. Scott’s also decided to leave his management team. “They’ve been off and on for years,” the source said of West and Zivkovic. “But Kris is in [West’s] ears. Kanye’s been making changes and [he and Zivkovic] have grown apart—but Kris definitely gives her opinion and Kanye’s all ears. She’s about brand building and is gangster at it.”

There’s no doubt that Kris plays the role of manager well. On Keeping Up With The Kardashians viewers watch her organize Kourtney’s meetings, Kim’s perfume launches, and Kylie’s appearances. The Kardashians famously run almost all aspects of their many enterprises, so it’s no surprise that even baby daddy’s are being encouraged to keep things in the family. “She also told Travis Scott to fire Mark Gillespie,” the source said. “They are 100 percent part of that Kardashian-Jenner brand.” Scott left Gillespie’s Three Six Zero management last month.

Kris’ first project could be helping Kanye wrap up his latest album, which has led him to take up residence in Wyoming and work with the likes of Drake, Kid Cudi, Nas, and Mike Dean. He also fraternized with Rick Rubin over the three-day weekend. If a new album is imminent, then the momager turned rap manager could be working overtime very soon.

Kevin Hart and Tiffany Haddish both took to Instagram about their upcoming movie, ‘Night School’.

Both reminisced over the time when they were struggling comedians on the comedy circuit.

Tiffany recounts the time Kevin loaned her $300.

“I am so excited about this movie. It is truly a full circle moment for me. To be co-staring in a movie with @kevinhart4real just Proves to me that God is real. Back in 2005 Kevin and I were costars in a sketch Comedy Show at a comedy club in LA. I was homeless as hell, and I didn’t want anyone to know. Kevin noticed a bunch of things in my car and actually took the time to talk to me. He Gave me $300 and told me to get a hotel for a week. ( mind you that is impossible in Los Angeles y’all) He also told me to write out a list of Goals, get my shit together and start working toward those Goals. I did just that and over the years Kevin has always been the Big little Brother I never had. Thank you Kevin for always being willing to teach me and letting me know when I was making mistakes. You are a Comedy Angel. Now when I am In Forbes Magazine as one of the highest paid actresses in the world I will pay you that $300 Back. That is just one of the many things on my list of goals I have yet to Accomplish. So check out #nightschool y’all where I get to be The teacher.”

It is safe to say both are doing well and this movie will be hilarious. Watch the trailer and let us know what you think.

Cardi B drops new single ‘Be Careful’

cardi-b-be-careful

You’ve been warned. Following “Bodak Yellow” and “Bartier Cardi,” Cardi B is putting her man on blast with her third single “Be Careful,” which seems to be inspired by her real life romance with Offset.

The Bronx rapper, who is rumored to be pregnant with fiancé Offset’s child, calls out her man over his infidelity. “I wanna get married, like the Curries, Steph and Ayesha shit,” she raps. “But we more like Belly, Tommy and Keisha shit / Gave you TLC, you wanna creep and shit / Poured out my whole heart to a piece of shit.”

Over the Vinylz, Boi-1da, and Frank Dukes production, she warns him not to mess with her heart. “It’s not a threat, it’s a warning / Be careful with me,” she raps, while borrowing lyrics from Lauryn Hill’s “Ex-Factor.”

Cardi’s highly-anticipated debut album Invasion of Privacy arrives April 6. The following day, she will perform on “SNL” and Coachella later in the month.

Denzel Curry Says He’s Quitting Rap Indefinitely

Denzel Curry has taken leave from his music and public life, effective immediately. In a series of cryptic posts on Twitter, Denzel took a slight step back, hitting at fickle friendships, self fulfillment, and most importantly to us at hnhh, the importance of editorial integrity. Immediately following the announcement, he cleared his post count on IG, and edited his bio to read ‘bye.’

He followed that statement with an ominous good ‘bye.’ Fans were quick to respond with genuine concern, a few taking the occasion to inform Curry of the impact his music had played in their lives.

Unsurprisingly the announcement sparked major concerns among his fans. Denzel sensing panic, then climbed on Instagram to add further insight onto his condition. Denzel confessed that his heart was simply not in it at the moment, but that his fans are very much in his thoughts.

Denzel Curry made sure to leave on a graceful note, offering his fans a dedication of his love. We sincerely hope this self-granted leave of absence will work wonders on his psyche. Denzel is a rare specimen in the rap game. We should consider his privacy going forward.

Kendrick Lamar on Kanye West’s ”Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1 [AUDIO]

Out of nowhere, a new version of the Kanye West track “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1″ hit the internet yesterday (March 23), and this one features Kendrick Lamar.

While the two rappers teamed up on the Life of Pablo track “No More Parties in L.A.,” it appears Compton Kenny also contributed vocals to “Father…,” which features Kid Cudi on the original version. The beat for the Kendrick contribution starts off like the OG instrumental, but gets chopped and broken down on the TDE rapper’s verse.

“Annie, are you okay?/Ooh, yeah/Do you like foreplay?/Ooh, yeah/Do you go both ways?” K. Dot raps. “I really need confirmation/Your love is abomination/Fucking you is like a bomb of nations/Area 51 in that pussy, ah/The president about to cum in that pussy, ah/I got mind control, I got dick control/I reel ’em in for the fishing pole/I love legs like Robyn Fenty/Stretch them shits like limo Bentleys.”

It appears Kanye is hard at work on his upcoming album. In recent weeks, he’s been spotted in his happy place in Wyoming with a slew of frequent collaborators. Travis Scott, The-Dream, King Louie, producer Pi’erre Bourne, Gunna, Tony Williams, A$AP Bari, Kid Cudi and Nas have all been photographed in the area. Most recently, Drake and his crew were spotted at the resort where West is staying, and the two are reportedly cooking up as well.

Listen to the recently-surfaced Kendrick Lamar verse on Kanye West’s “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1″ below.

Famous Dex has some advice for his peers in the latest episode of On The Come Up.

Famous Dex Talks “Mumble Rap” & Respecting OGs In “On The Come Up”
➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖
In many regards, #Dexter has often played the voice of reason vis-a-vis respecting the OGs. Here, he elaborates on the topic, while showing some love to the new wave of “mumble rap.” “Whatever this wave is right now, we’ll call it mumble rap, well shit, these mumble rappers got a lot of shit going for themselves,” explains Dexter. “These mumble rappers taking care of their families…Right now, you gotta run with this wave.” Still, he’s a scholar of the game, and speaks fondly of the legends. “You gotta respect the OGs, especially when you in New York too,” says #Dex. “Let me tell you young rappers something man.  This the home of music and fashion….People don’t even know who Redman and Method Man is…come on man, you people retarded! When they asked me who my favorite rapper outta Chicago, and I said Common, they was like ‘COMMON????” The incredulity speaks volumes. For a man who has firmly embodied the quote unquote new wave, his wisdom of his predecessors is one of his most admirable traits.

BEUYS, Documentary Portrait of Joseph Beuys, One of the 20th Century’s Most Influential and Controversial Artists

70510dbd-6d84-426c-932e-419fddc80a8a

Charismatic and controversial German artist Joseph Beuys (1921-1986) was a messianic figure, alternately considered a shaman, a kook, a radical political activist, and a breakthrough artistic genius. Filmmaker Andres Veiel mines a rich trove of never-before-seen archival footage, showing how Beuys’s teachings (at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf), installations (using felt and fat), ‘happenings’ (covering himself in honey and gold leaf in How to Explain Paintings to a Dead Hare or locking himself in a room with a coyote in I Like America and America Likes Me), and lectures (“money shouldn’t be a commodity”) argued for a more expansive view of the role of art in our lives.

Always recognizable in his trademark fedora, Beuys was a visionary who, 30 years after his death, continues to influence artists as well as confound and entertain the rest of us. BEUYS will have a two-week engagement, from January 17 to January 30, at Film Forum.
