Timothy Leeks faces a felony murder charge in the death of Dayvon Bennett, also known as King Von.
Leeks is in police custody at an Atlanta hospital, where he is being treated for a gunshot wound.
Three people were killed, including King Von, after a confrontation outside an Atlanta club that ended in gunfire early Friday morning, according to police.
Two off-duty Atlanta officers were working an extra job at a local hookah lounge when they saw two groups of men arguing with each other outside the establishment around 3:20 a.m. Friday, police said.
Officials said the argument quickly escalated to gunfire between the two groups.
One of the off-duty officers, along with an on-duty APD officer who was patrolling nearby, confronted the shooters and shots were also fired during the encounter with police.
Three people were transported to the hospital by EMS with gunshot wounds, and three others were taken to the hospital in private vehicles. Two additional people were detained on the scene, police said.
Officials confirmed Friday afternoon that three of the people shot died from their injuries, and three others were still being treated at the hospital. The officers involved were not injured, police said. Rumors surrounding the incident claimed Bennett was killed by police gunfire, but APD officials said their investigators believe the rapper “was shot during the initial shootout between the two groups of males, prior to police responding and attempting to stop the shooting.”
The Georgia Bureau of Investigations was requested to respond and investigate the officer-involved shooting aspect of the incident. APD homicide investigators also responded and are investigating the deaths. Officials said part of the investigations will include determining which individuals were struck by gunfire from the suspects and whether any were struck by gunfire from the officers.
Charges are anticipated against the two suspects detained on-scene… Via: ABC Chicago

Goodie Mob Announce New Album Survival Kit Featuring André 3000, Big Boi, and Chuck D
This Dungeon Family reunion arrives November 13th, just in time for Thanksgiving
Just in time for Thanksgiving, Goodie Mob have announced a kind of #DungeonFamily reunion. Their new album Survival Kit drops November 13th, and will feature guest verses from old collaborators André 3000, Big Boi, and #BigRube, as well as the legend #ChuckD. Production was handled by the Family crew Organized Noize.
If the four members of Goodie Mob, the three producers in #OrganizedNoize, the two representatives of #OutKast, and Rube did come together at a Thanksgiving feast, their roles would be clear: #André3000 and #BigBoi are the brothers who don’t talk anymore; Khujo and T-Mo are cousins who’re closer than brothers; Organized Noize cook and carve the turkey; Big Rube delivers the blessing; #BigGipp loudly says, “Their eyes are red!” after you and your cousin come back from a walk; and #CeeLoGreen is the creepy uncle you hope your mom doesn’t make you hug.
This party is at Goodie Mob’s house, and it’s their first album since 2013’s Age Against the Machine. Survival Kit is 16 tracks long, and was written in part as a response to police brutality and the Black Lives Matter movement. In a statement, T-Mo said, “Right now, just seeing all of our people on TV marching and protesting and being shot at, bottles and stuff being chucked at the police, people burning down buildings and looting because we’re tired of all of the injustices.”
Check out the artwork and tracklist below (above). Previously, #GoodieMob shared the singles “Frontline” and “Are You Ready” with Chuck D. In other Dungeon Family news, Big Boi and Sleepy Brown (Organized Noize) are working on a new collaborative album The Big Sleepover, and so far they’ve released the songs “Intentions”, “Can’t Sleep”, and “We the Ones (Remix)” featuring #KillerMike.
“This is one of many critical steps on police reform that we’ve taken to create a more peaceful, just, compassionate and equitable community,” the Louisville mayor said.

The unanimously passed ordinance, which still needs to be approved by the mayor, bans any search warrant that does not require police to announce themselves and their purpose at the premises. It requires any Louisville Metro Police Department or Metro law enforcement to knock and wait a minimum of 15 seconds for a response.
Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer vowed to pass the ban as “soon as it hits my desk.”
“This is one of many critical steps on police reform that we’ve taken to create a more peaceful, just, compassionate and equitable community,” Fischer said on Twitter Thursday.
Today we stand in solidarity by blacking out our Social Media pages. Some of us have done the research and understand the purpose, some of us are following others because they think it’s just the right thing to do, some of us are posting just to post and others just don’t give a damn.
This movement was started by a group of Black Women and was later hijacked by who knows and thus the #BlackoutTuesday hashtag was started. The original hashtag was supposed to be #TheShowMustBePaused and it was intended to make an impact on the Music Industry.

Our Community is angry, tired, frustrated and ready for change. We’re displacing our anger on each other and being critical of how we individually or collectively choose to protest.
We may only be FREE-ISH but apart of that Free-ish-dom is the right to play our part the best we know how without criticism from within.
