The new Atlanta mayor, Keisha Lance Bottoms, who won the mayoral election in December, has elected Killer Mike of “Run The Jewels” and T.I. to be apart of her transition team, per Pitchfork. The rappers will be included with people such as executives like David Apney, the CEO of UPS, and Edward Bastian, CEO of Delta Airlines. The team’s role is to consult with the mayor on carrying out policy agenda items, the mayor was quoted at the press conference saying:
“I am grateful to announce this 38-strong transition team,”. “It represents a tremendous amount of diversity and depth, and really the best and the brightest in the city of Atlanta.”
