Colorado Group Class Cases Release “Chemicals” Video

Colorado-based music trio Glass Cases release visuals for their single “Chemicals.” The track invites listeners/viewers into a personal realm of inner conflict and mental health.

Glass Cases, made up of vocalist Alex Van Keulen, spoken word artist Austin Seifert, and drummer Cameron Greene, are coined for their ingenious music contributions to Pop/synth-Rock culture and “Chemicals” is no exception.

The video shot at an abandoned gas station ideally sets the tone for minutes of gripping lyrics. While the tempo throughout the track invigorates and shakes the soul, it also amplifies a relatable struggle. “For now, I’m stuck in this skin, Tortured mind that can change on a whim A shipwrecked soul searching for home wondering why I’m not totally whole.”

Nymrod Releases ‘Educated Music’ EP

NY’s own vetted artist Nymrod releases his latest project ‘Educated Music.’ The 9-track EP features Durgaveli, H.E.R., Misch, Mellow, and Citi The King Debanaire. As per the title, Nymrod delivers a lyrical guidebook on love, life, and success over a kaleidoscope of R&B blends, soul, striking basslines, and classic Hip Hop cadences.

Although it’s difficult to pinpoint a favorite off the EP, there are some stand out tracks including “The Worst” featuring Durgaveli. The duo embodies the ups and downs of relationships, lack of communication, and inevitably the debate of will love conquer all. The chemistry between Nymrod and Durgaveli is incomparable with unmasked, raw emotion. Through striking wordplay, they express their pain that once derived from bliss.

“Love in Sections” features Misch and is a soulful, charismatic track with a chill vibe, yet rousing enough to head onto the dancefloor. Nymrod’s infections lyrics along with Misch’s enticing vocals convey a seductive bliss, one that seems to be missing in some of today’s music.

“Take You There” which features Mellow and H.E.R. takes listeners through an erotic journey, classy in deliverance with the perfect blend of classic and contemporary R&B. Nymrod’s captivating lyrics are sure to stimulate the senses, so ladies pour the wine and fellows light the cigars…

SPEECH Releases A Different World (Single) In Response To Capitol Insurrection

“This song had to be made to become proactive in shaping our collective future, because the rebellion that happened on January 6, 2021, in Washington D.C. was the curtain being pulled back on race, lies, and darkness in America,” Speech explains. “It’s obvious that about half of America is living in a fictitious bubble and are responding accordingly. That’s why I wanted to share facts about the lawlessness and hypocrisy that was occurring. We may be at the start of another Civil war and a lot of bloodshed.” -SPEECH

Atlanta, GA…Like millions of other Americans, Grammy Award-winning artist Speech of the legendary Afro-centric Hip Hop group Arrested Development watched in horror as a swath of die-hard Trump loyalists stormed the U.S. Capitol building in Washington D.C. As the dedicated MC he is, Speech put the pen to paper and spit out the single “A Different World,” an anthemic call-to-action that both preserve his artistic integrity and passion for socio-political issues.

“On the night of the terrorist attack that already killed five people, I did a YouTube post, I posted various things on social media, but none of it seemed adequate, especially from a music documentation perspective,” he said of the song’s evolution. “So, I went into the studio, pulled out my Beat Thang, sampler, etc. The jazz/boom bap energy for this song was intentional, meant to be a throwback energy from the ‘90s-type approach. In my opinion, those sensibilities lend themselves to reflection, grooves, and hope, while still showing the urgency of this moment. I also purposely rhymed with a higher pitch, cuz I wanted my emotions of helplessness, rage but also engagement to come through.” -SPEECH

“A Different World” follows Expansion Pt. 1, Speech’s first solo EP in 14 years, and will appear on his upcoming full-length album Expansion. As he flirts within the song’s breakdown, “This is a time for good-hearted people of all races that love Hip Hop to show the world a path to peace and truth! Plot, Plan, Strategize, Organize and Mobilize. Please spread the vibes. We aren’t helpless, we can make a different world.”

Jack Diamond “Free Love” Ft. YFN Lucci (Video)

Jack Diamond releases visuals for his latest single “Free Love” which features YFN Lucci with production by Kyle Junior.

Diamond delivers a relatable track regardless of gender, culture, and occupation. With images of himself in a coffin, it’s evident the old Jack Diamond is dead. He’s broken his own heart from thinking with it instead of using his brain and he’s fed folks that he should’ve let starve. The new and improved Jack Diamond, however, will make them pay, not by way of violence but through his shine and success…there’s no more free love.

The tones are smooth and soulful yet piercing enough to raise arm harms while Jack Diamond spews his lyrical oath. Watch the video for “Free Love” and get your copy below.

JLC x Judy Drama x Dee Stakz “Welcome to Da Jungle” Video

Texas natives JLC and Judy Drama recruit Melbourne’s Dee Stakz for new single/video titled “Welcome to Da Jungle.” This fierce trio is unstoppable and on the move with nothing to lose. They can survive the jungle in all forms and come out on top of the game. The Cinematic production heightens the raw and gritty lyrics…Connect the dots while they claim their earned respect. Watch the video and get the inside scoop on “Welcome to Da Jungle” below.

MJ:  Before we jump into the video, how did everyone link up, especially with Dee Stakz who resides in Melbourne?

JLC: It basically started from Instagram with Dee Stakz showing love and reached out to me with marketing questions. While I was growing and moving in the scene, I watched him grow as well. I had a track that I wanted a different sound and knew with his character and talent that it would be a hit. He came through with a verse, for the video, and the rest is history!  As far as Judy, I kept her hearing her name in the scene and popping up on social media. I was drawn to her style and sway and the fact that she was also from Texas. We connected, and again the rest is history.

MJ:  What was the goal with this single/video? Let us in on the process from the creative spark to the finale. Is it receiving the proper accolades you were expecting it to?

JLC: The goal was to provide fans with something they can relate to and show them they can come out as we did and to reach as many as we can! I came up with the idea as I was riding through my old hood in Fort Worth and just thinking how bad it was back in the day. I mean you had to constantly watch your back and watch who you let in your circle and it was people constantly getting robbed and set up. It’s like that now, but back in the 90’s it was three times as bad. As of now it’s nothing but good reviews and it’s just been a couple of weeks, as it spreads, we are looking forward to seeing how different crowds respond.

MJ:  Was it difficult to shoot the video during a heightened period of COVID-19? Why is it important for you to continue to curate during the pandemic?

JLC: Actually, it was easy. It was kind of an in and out thing when you shoot so many videos you just do your thing and roll out, and I think I can speak on behalf of everybody on that note! I believe it was Dee Stakz’s first video, but you would never know it, he handled business! The pandemic is an opportunity for more exposure as people are watching more TV and have more of an online presence.

MJ:  Talk about the chemistry between the three of you and how individual styles complemented one another.

JLC: Everybody is just down to earth and got jokes so that really makes it easy when everyone has the same goal in mind and takes their careers seriously. Our styles in my opinion with each verse is a different feel and different tone, talking about a different scenario with the same topic, and it makes it both interesting and captivating.

MJ:  Take a minute to share with fans about upcoming solo or more collaborative projects.

JLC: I can’t talk about that…but we have a lot of people watching us and don’t want us, especially me, to go far in the industry. Our ideas are unique, and we must keep them secured until it’s release time.

MJ:  Please take a moment to share anything else fans should be on the lookout for and how they can connect with you for updates and new music.

JLC: They can go to Amazon and read my E-Book “Hip Hop Marketing A Dirty Game” for some tips on marketing. I have some collaborations in the works and more music endeavors on the way so stay tuned.
