IT’S NEW MUSIC FRIDAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Whats up my goodies!? Hows everyone doing during this quarantine? So far, I am staying very grateful that I have my health and family by my side, and am able to work from home. Even if things aren’t going how you would wish things to go right now, just know I got all of y’all in my prayers, and please believe that hard times will not last always!!!
Now…let’s get into this week of nothing but dope as releases! OMG…I live for these days LOL Music is great for the soul. Speaking on how music is great for the soul…my fav…K Camp dropped today with an album that is definitely worth the listen. I’ve been rocking to K Camp since 2012…Im a mixtape girl, and it was a single that the Atlanta native was featured on and I used to play it out LOL then he dropped his project in 2013 that literally was getting played out at all the spots I used to hang at. Singing “It aint nuttin to cut a b***h off” was my normal thing to do around that time!! A true artist who gets better & better with each project he puts out, and Kiss 5 is a must listen in my opinion.
Kali Uchis has me ready for a new project, and the cover to this ep has me feeling like I am alive just staring at it!! Please dont keep me waiting too long for your album beautiful!!
Now yall now on every 4/20, Wiz Khalifa always drops a weed smoking project, and he made sure to come thru with that pack for the holiday! Get Lifted!!!
Fivio Foreign has a sound reminiscent of deceased rapper, Popsmoke. I see that drill sound is really taking over NY right now. Foreign’s project sounds like I took Popsmoke’s manuscript and added his voice to it LOL I do like his flow and that’s what will carry this artist until he develops his own drill style.
For Jackboy to be signed to Kodak Black’s label, for one, you can definitely hear the connection, but Jackboy has one hell of a flow that will grow on people plus be a reminder that Kodak Black will be home soon. I love the fact that his project his a self titled one…it gives the listeners a chance to judge his album with an unbiased thought.
Asher Roth always comes with good music to listen and vibe to, and he made sure sure to stay consistent with his new project. One of my favorite singles on the project is the album titled track Flowers On The Weekend. The project also includes a dope ass feature with Lil Yachty that will have you looking at him different for he came with a delivery that we are not used to hearing.

IT’S NEW MUSIC FRIDAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello my goodies!!! It’s another great week of new music releases that I have checked out and provided my thoughts of them so your listening experience can be LIT!!

DaBaby‘s new project is an example of a project thats not mediocre. His project is the biggest debut this week. The songs on this album are more organized and go together way better than the last album. He has features including Ashanti, Megan Thee Stallion, Roddy Ricch & etc. Overall DaBaby is putting on for his city of Charlotte, NC.
If you are in to that gritty hard lyrical New York flow type of music, Westside Gunn is your guy! I love his BOOM BOOM BOOM adlibs, it adds that extra flavor to his music that truly keeps my attention. With features from the likes of Tyler, The Creator and others will keep you vibing to this project all day.
This is my first ever listening to anything made by DVSN, and I have no complaints! Initially I assumed the artist was a female due to the title of they project, but actually its two guys with very calming voices singing about a female who is their muse, but is going through her own personal issues. As a woman, I can agree that yes, we do go through our emotional ups & downs. This dope album has features with PARTYNEXTDOOR, Jessie Reyez and even Buju Banton. I guarantee that this album is a must listen while chilling in the house during this quarantine time.
Fredo Bang‘s new project is literally something that has some BOP in it. Executive produced by Moneybagg Yo and with features from Lil Baby, YNW Melly, Tee Grizzley, as well as Moneybagg Yo, you can’t go wrong for just taking one moment to check this project out. Fredo Bang can hang on his own though, like on the single “Yo Slime”.

IT’S NEW MUSIC FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

This week in new music is kind of mellow with the biggest project being released today is Tory Lanez project. He just announced this project yesterday when Instagram reinstated his page after a fan had did some explicit things while on his live video. If you guys haven’t checked out Tory’s “Quarantine Radio” yet, please put that on your “Things to do List” LOL The New Toronto 3, is a cool project, but then Tory is pretty consistent with releasing decent work! If this album reminds me of anything, it’s his first debut album, telling fans stories from his life prior to becoming who he is today. Of course he made sure to include tracks that you can vibe too, especially one that eerily reminds me of Cleveland’s own Q Money’s type of vibe.
Louisville, Kentucky’s own 2KBaby dropped his EP with 10 tracks that will have you craving for more. I definitely love the vibe on this project, and I am anxious to hear more from him.
I can not lie…I expect quality fire from Dj Drama and now here he comes back with a part 2 with 24Hrs!!! In my opinion…this is definitely a must listen. Nothing to learn from here but you will have a major vibe going on at 12am chillin in your bedroom bumping this in your bluetooth speaker LOL
Lately all of my favorite Houston artists have dropped some nice projects. Im talking about Lil Flip, Paul Wall, Slim Thug, and now Z-RO!!! Z-RO‘s project is a must listen…only 7 tracks, but vibe worthy with a splash of old school.
I swear Asian Doll is soooo underrated!!! No matter how many projects she drops the shit is fire! I need Gucci Mane to promote her better or something…we need more of her!!!
Lastly, ya’ll better purchase Boosie new project…during this quarantine you should only be listening to real ni66as anyways, and he is certainly one.

STEVE AOKI coming thru with a dope project that I can guarantee will keep your party going until the wee hours!!! This fire project has the most unexpected features ever who include Tory Lanez, Travis Barker, Backstreet Boys, and more!
I honestly never heard of the artist THUNDERCAT until today! I can admit that while listening to his album, I was just in awe. His album is such a mood. While being stuck in the house you can blast this album while freshening up your home or even just chilling with a glass wine looking at the sunset. Thundercat has enlisted some cool people to be featured on his project like Childish Gambino and Ty Dolla $ign to name a few!
A$AP TWELVYY last album was in 2017 so it was a fresh breath of air to see that he has a new project coming out today. Twelvyy tends to stay consistent by giving us dope bars on top of fire beats.
KIANA LEDE actress from the second season of MTV’s horror series Scream is now out with her own project which has such a nice vibe. She has such a decent voice I can see why we are being blessed with it. Her project is filled with songs that we all can relate to and dope features such as Ari Lennox, Lucky Daye, 6Black, Moneybagg Yo and others! Just the names alone should have you wanting to hear what this artist has to give to the world. Make sure to go on her social medias an wish her a very Happy Birthday!!!

IT’S NEW MUSIC FRIDAYS!!!!!

Instead of just sitting still, check out these new releases! Me, I had my own listening session while working from home, even my kids listened to a few of the new tracks from Dua Lipa, who I think is one of there favorite artists. Partynextdoor dropped his album FINALLY, and it doesn’t disappoint, but I suggest listening to it about 2 times before coming with your own perspective on the album. Keeping on with the vibe, Jessie Reyez, new project is really nice! I love how her voice sounds on all her songs, and features with Eminem and 6Black are dope too! Ari Lennox has me ready for a whole new album from her…she’s super dope and I love her voice as well!! Doja Cat’s rap on the “BMO” remix is too lit!!

Since this year has begun I am wondering what is there to learn from it. They say 2020 is the year of new beginnings and new changes, and they may be true. So far there has not been any huge releases from our big acts!! Think about it…I am still waiting on new music from the Migos, Cardi B, Nicki Minaj, and others….the year is still very new so we might be in for a super dope surprise as these months pass on. Hey…if y’all want to come out with anything that can add some bop in my system make sure to add it during Gemini season LOL

I have a lot of new music to highlight!! Even a surprise second album from Lil Baby, a nice project from G Herbo, and a super dope collaboration called the A-Team” that includes dope producer Zaytoven, rappers, Lil Yachty, Lil Keed, and Lil Gotit that is a definite must listen! Here is the rest of this dope, but informative interview with a special man by the name of Dj Lance, but better known to me as my dad!

In the part 2 of the interview Dj Lance speaks on his downfalls with drug abuse, how he overcame it, and how he enjoys still entertaining people except now it’s entertaining the spirit.

It’s surprising to see how much a person truly loves their craft and found a way to evolve in it while spreading positivity through it! being the oldest child, I can say that I have seen my dad at his greatest as well as his lows. One thing I always keep with me is the fact that as long as I am living, there is always a chance to become a better individual for not just me, but for my family too!

First off….all hail to the Queen!!! OMG!! I was so pumped when I found out that Kim was coming out with an album, and even more happier to hear that Kim is still good on the lyrics, and has a great ear for productions!! Like you can really bump her album with a good sound system to really vibe too. I definitely love the hidden artist features including Rick Ross, Rich The Kid, OT Genesis, and the City Girls!! This album is definitely something to keep on replay. Love you Kim!!!

WALE – WOW…THAT’S CRAZY

Wale truly put his whole body and soul into this album! From the beginning to the end this album never disappoints. Ya’ll should know that I LOVE Wale!! Wale seems to be one of those people that even after I think I read his first page…I have to keep reading page after page to truly know Wale, which can be a good or bad thing, but when it comes to his music…this theory is definitely a good thing!

The main reason why I am writing about this album is because I do love me some Gucci Mane! I am that down ass chick for those I truly fuck with and Gucci is that man in my head OK!!! Honestly…there was nothing on this album that gave me that old Gucci feeling from back in 2013, but what I do respect is how much he is putting on the new artists. For example, the track “Big Boy Diamonds” that features Kodak Black, seems to be Kodak’s whole track, plus he needs positive press anyways while he is currently serving time in jail. That is those types of examples showing how Gucci Mane gives love back even though he tried to start a whole beef with DJ Envy and Angela Yee from the Breakfast Club smh

KASH DOLL – STACKED

Let’s give a shout out to one of my favorite females coming out of Detroit! We’ve been hearing her name since 2012 or 2013, and now it’s 2019, and Kash Doll has finally dropped her first debut album!!! Her album “Stacked” has dope features including another one of Detroit’s pwn Big Sean, Trey Songz, Summer Walker, and Teyanna Taylor! A very upbeat album that also tells Kash Doll’s story too! In my opinion it’s definitely a must listen, and also placed on Billboards top 100 too!!

Bizzy Bone’s Interview with the Breakfast Club

Cleveland’s own Bizzy Bone, from the legendary group Bone Thugs N Harmony, visited my favorite morning crew, The Breakfast Club, last week! Bizzy has been a busy guy lately…with his new project out “Carbon Monoxide” for which he is currently out doing promo for, as well as making cooking videos on Instagram, and being involved with a small beef with the Migos late last year…I guess you can say that he’s been a busy man lately.

It’s been years since we have heard Bizzy doing any interviews, and I am glad to say that it was about time!! Bizzy caught us up with his current life being a granddad and how he goes about things differently than his past. He also spoke on great memories of his group…making music with two of the greatest rappers, Notorious B.I.G. & Tupac, even being kidnapped as a kid! This was truly a dope ass interview that allowed Bizzy’s fans and others to get to know him better than before make sure to check out the whole interview below!

It’s Mz Slimgoody back with my reviews on certain albums that were released within the last few weeks. Some projects were very much anticipated while some were mediocre, but still listen worthy for I love plenty more bounce to the ounce!! LMAO *insert my corny ass jokes*

YOUNG M.A. – Herstory In The Making
Mannnnn….how long have we been waiting on Young M.A. to FINALLY drop her project?? One thing I am very proud to say is that this wait is very well worth it! While listening to her album it felt good to hear the different producers she has worked with down to even Zaytoven! A New York flow with a southern producer? HUH?? Sounds crazy right? Guess what? She rode that beat! I love how she allowed us to really get to know her story from rapping about her love life and how certain emotions have affected her creativity at times. This project proved to me that Young M.A. is still here to stay!

DaBaby – Kirk
Who knew while the country was mourning the unexpected death of Nipsey Hussle, DaBaby while still making a name for himself as well as topping the charts, had lost his father on the same day. He mentioned in a recent interview that his father’s death was what inspired him to name his second project after him. Now I will say that after hearing the intro, which is very deep and heart felt, the rest of the album is what you will expect to hear from DaBaby. He has such a flow about himself, and is very good at telling visual stories, but I believe when it comes to production, he stays very safe with sticking to what works for him. DaBaby has a few songs that I love, like the hidden feature with Nicki Minaj that even upped her “A” game!

Kevin Gates – I’m Him
Kevin Gates came thru with a new project since getting out of jail in early 2018. He had a few mixtapes that were released, but I think that now Kevin is in a better place mentally and spiritually. His involvement can be heard on this new album. Kevin is even giving more interviews as of recently promoting this project, and even speaking more in a positive light on his growth and the changes he has endured to put him in the space he is now currently in. Of course Kevin is still gritty, hardcore, and spiritually felt on his album. I had to listen to it a few times prior to speaking on it, but overall it’s worth it.

Nivea – Mirrors
When I seen that singer, Nivea had finally dropped an album I was so excited!! I mean come on…it’s been over 10 plus years since we even had a single! I think the latest music we heard from her was a feature on Lil Wayne’s “Carter V” album. Now we have “Mirrors” and we finally can hear what Nivea has been up to in all these years!! Some of the songs you can tell were made awhile ago while there are some that were made recently. This project sounds like a smorgasbord of music put together to let us know her versatility. On a recent interview she mentioned that she will like to get into song writing again for other artists. I do think that you have to listen to the project more than once to gain a real perspective of it.

Sabrina Claudio – Truth Is
This artist has such a sultry voice that tells sweet stories of love and heart break. I do not know what it is that attracted me to this artist, but I truly vibe to her music. Sabrina’s new project goes right into more stories of a relationships ups and downs with a bluesy feel to it. She has a way of telling a depressing story that makes it sounds so good you forget the heart break in the song! I swear this album is perfect break up music.

Summer Walker – Over It

This is one of my most anticipated albums for this year! I truly love her voice and the stories she tells I can truly relate to! It’s hard for me to describe exactly my thoughts for her album which aren’t bad by any means but if you have been a fan over Summer’s I think you will get what I am saying!! I love beautiful voices over dope ass beats that you can listen to even while chilling with your dude! Her project is definitely a must listen!!
