Who does 10 years in jail to come back out with a podcast, dope ass project, and repping from the south east side of Cleveland, OH??? This guy right here named Michael! I particularly enjoyed all of the tracks on his project, but only 5 are my favorites. With only 12 tracks on this project…that is not bad at all! This is a must listen project…I don’t know what he has planned but i think that if he decides to stay in this music game, I think he will last for a long time. Congratulations Mike!!
LOGIC – NO PRESSURE
So Logic decided that this will be his last album. He says that now it’s time to be a father, and I not only understand that but I commend him for making that sacrifice! Will he stay retired from the game? Ummmm…per past references like, Jay-Z and Master P, who have a made so called last albums to turn right around and make another album. This album by Logic is so strategically done. You will hear some samples that will make you bob your head and just vibe to his music. Overall, I wish Logic and his family the best!
TAYLOR SWIFT – FOLK LORE
At times you have credit where credit is due, and Taylor Swift is that woman. She returns with an album telling more stories of love, heartbreak, and motivational thoughts that everyone will relate to. We must always give flowers to those are still living.

OMG! This album has me wanting to fly to Jamaica right damn now LOL I love this album. Everything blended together beautifully to create Buju’s first album since being released from jail. I truly love the feature with Stephen Marley as well!!
G EAZY – EVERYTHING’S STRANGE HERE
After listening to the first track I had to take a double look at G Eazy’s album again for this project sounds totally different that his last projects! This album feels like it’s his way to reflect on his life and the people in it.
AUGUST ALSINA – THE PRODUCT III: STATE OF EMERGENCY
August Alsina comes off as such a mature man especially for his age, but he might state that it’s due to experiencing a lot at an early age. August has one of those voices that make you believe everything he’s saying. This album is special for August…while dealing with a lot of adversity in his regular life he was able to still create a great piece of work.
YUNGEEN ACE – DON DADA
Yungeen Ace always come with that heat for the streets! His lyrical skill is getting way better than where it was at when I first posted him 2 years ago.
88GLAM – NEW MANIA
I truly love this group!!! Anytime they drop a project I can listen to whole album, and this new project is no different!
IDK & FRIENDS 2 – BASKETBALL COUNTY SOUNDTRACK
This soundtrack right here….this right here BANGS!!!! If y’all aren’t hip to the artist IDK stop what you doing right now and go listen to his previous projects! The features are lit, the album starts off giving you the anticipation of a lituation. While writing this I was only on the 6th song, and still no complaints.
KIERRA LUV – TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT
I can not lie…I am shocked that this album is that good! I thought she was and R&B singer LOL This lil cutey has some real lyrical flow and with those dope ass beats she rapping on match her and her tone really well. You can play this project from the beginning to the end.
CAN YALL GUESS WHAT TODAY IS????
It’s Happy Juneteenth and here in Ohio it’s considered as a paid holiday, but I know all of us Black Americans will be in celebration all day! Why?? Juneteenth was the day Black Americans were declared totally free from slavery. To get more information in regards to this day of celebration click on the post that Barack Obama posted in regards to Juneteenth!
Also, in celebration of Juneteenth there will also be a special Verzuz battle between the talented Alicia Keys and the soulful, John Legend, who has a new project that I will be featuring today as well! I am too anxious to see this tonight! I am an Alicia Keys fan baby!!!!

TEYANA TAYLOR – THE ALBUM
Teyana Taylor finally came thru with a well organized album with dope unexpected ass features with a beautiful voice as well!! I love how she keeps her music very transparent with her life, example, the intro is the original 911 recording of when she gave birth to her daughter at home. Only Teyana can provide that type of style with her music without giving out too much of her life. I enjoy artists who can turn their life stories into art, and create a vibe that no other artist is doing currently. I see why Charlamagne, from the Breakfast Club, says that she is an underrated artist, but I think after this…she might finally gets what she been deserved a few years ago. Congratulations Teyana!!!
SMOKEPURPP – FLORIDA JIT
Smokepurpp made sure that he was putting a lil bump in your ride with this album!! As I type this I haven’t stopped bobbing my head yet!
WALE – THE IMPERFECT STORM
If y’all didn’t know…I love me some Wale, I mean his music that is LOL It’s been 10 years and he’s in this game to stay while providing some of the best music that’s being played on radio stations every where. This project will leave you feening for more, but this will do for the moment.
TEE GRIZZLEY – THE SMARTEST
Ive been waiting for Detriot native, Tee Grizzley, to drop another project. It seems like it’s been forever since the last project, but if yo ear stays close to the streets, you will know that Tee Grizzley had quite a few misfortunes happen within the last couple of years! Now he’s pouring out his stress on this dope ass project. I think Tee Grizzley is underrated, but once he gets his mind right he’ll be back to making hits!!!
ERIC BELLINGER – HORS D’OEUVRES
What’s funny is that even if Eric Bellinger didnt drop a project today he still will recvieve credit for his work on Teyana Taylor album and on Wale’s new album. Eric comes ready to make those panty dropper songs as well as songs to keep you motivated such as “Mamba Mentality”.
CITY GIRLS – CITY ON LOCK
Sooooo…the word on the street is that someone leaked the City Girl’s singles from off there at the time forthcoming album. In response to the leaks the City Girls, chose to beat the haters and released the project last night. I’m actually glad they did because what is a summer without the City Girls?? I be needing to stay uplifted on my ratchedness, and they constantly fulfill that request for me LOL I swear I will bumping this album ALL weekend even tho it’s Father’s Day weekend, and of course I will be gifting my babydaddy a special gift. I’ll also be shaking dat ass while taking notes on how not to deal with these broke/cheap boys!!!

Hey Goodies!!! It’s New Music Fridays!!!!!!!!!!! My aplogies for not making a post last week…with everything going on for the #blacklivesmatter movement, I just didnt have the energy to celebrate any new releases. I want justice for those who have died due to the police brutality, and I am hoping that people of color will be able to see some type of change very soon.
This week of new releases is still lower than usual but the quality of what is being released is at a 10. The sisters, Chloe and Halle, founded by Beyonce, released a new project that sounds very mature from the last. I admit sometimes I stray away from the teeny boppy music even if they have superior vocals, I tend to go towards more adultish vibes. LOL Chloe and Halle project creates a nice vibe and literally had me anxious to hear what might be considered something in the “Ungodly Hour“. From cheating men issues to going on and getting tipsy to feeling lonely and overwhelmed, Chloe and Halle, allow you to come into their world showing their fans that they go through the same things too!

Norah Jones soulful voice is what I needed to hear during these uncertain times. Her voice gives me so much settled peace and understanding. While checking out page to seen what’s been up with the beautiful singer lately, I see she has been doing concerts at her home on live. Not only is that a great idea for artists and entertainers to do while in the midst of the Covid-19. Pick Me Off The Floor does not disappoints, it actually gives me what I need, it’s something that touches my soul!

What’s up my Goodies!!! Yesterday was my 28th birthday for the 2nd time, and ya girl kept it very simple which turned out to be a great birthday. It’s now officially Gemini season and this is the season when everything is LIT!! Thankfully I am off to enjoy this holiday weekend with my family and loved ones, and I hope the same goes for you guys as well!!!
Westcoast artist, Bino Rideaux, is out with a fresh project that I can guarantee will have you vibing to it all weekend. I enjoy how Bino rides the beat while telling a story that will keep you very attentive wanting to expect more from him especially during a time when the feeling of going outside sounds so tempting but risky all together. This dope project has features including: Mozzy and Fredo Bang.
Skooly is an artist whose music I will always anticipate! He always delivers regardless if he’s giving you a hard flow or preaching about some real shit. This new project not only has a dope ass cover giving us an Adams Family feel to it. What’s funny is, for Skooly to be an artist from Atlanta…he does not sound like the majority of artists who came from there. Tay Keith, Lil Baby, and 2 Chainz will have you bopping your head to this on repeat!!
There’s an artist that I totally feel like gets better and better every time I hear a new project from him, and that’s Key Glock! Not only does his music be bunkin but he has a flow that makes him stand out from any other Memphis artist. It’s cool that Young Dolph not only cosigns him they also did an album together too as well, but Key Glock can honestly hold his own. I bet that his name will still be ringing bells in the next couple of years!
This is my first time listening to artist Kota The Friend and I am pleasantly surprised!! He’s an artist who has a dope lyrical flow rhyming on top of dope beats as well!! I believe Kota is an artist who will be around for awhile especially if he stays this fly!

Hello my goodies!!! It’s another great week of new music releases that I have checked out and provided my thoughts of them so your listening experience can be LIT!!
DaBaby‘s new project is an example of a project thats not mediocre. His project is the biggest debut this week. The songs on this album are more organized and go together way better than the last album. He has features including Ashanti, Megan Thee Stallion, Roddy Ricch & etc. Overall DaBaby is putting on for his city of Charlotte, NC.
If you are in to that gritty hard lyrical New York flow type of music, Westside Gunn is your guy! I love his BOOM BOOM BOOM adlibs, it adds that extra flavor to his music that truly keeps my attention. With features from the likes of Tyler, The Creator and others will keep you vibing to this project all day.
This is my first ever listening to anything made by DVSN, and I have no complaints! Initially I assumed the artist was a female due to the title of they project, but actually its two guys with very calming voices singing about a female who is their muse, but is going through her own personal issues. As a woman, I can agree that yes, we do go through our emotional ups & downs. This dope album has features with PARTYNEXTDOOR, Jessie Reyez and even Buju Banton. I guarantee that this album is a must listen while chilling in the house during this quarantine time.
Fredo Bang‘s new project is literally something that has some BOP in it. Executive produced by Moneybagg Yo and with features from Lil Baby, YNW Melly, Tee Grizzley, as well as Moneybagg Yo, you can’t go wrong for just taking one moment to check this project out. Fredo Bang can hang on his own though, like on the single “Yo Slime”.

Instead of just sitting still, check out these new releases! Me, I had my own listening session while working from home, even my kids listened to a few of the new tracks from Dua Lipa, who I think is one of there favorite artists. Partynextdoor dropped his album FINALLY, and it doesn’t disappoint, but I suggest listening to it about 2 times before coming with your own perspective on the album. Keeping on with the vibe, Jessie Reyez, new project is really nice! I love how her voice sounds on all her songs, and features with Eminem and 6Black are dope too! Ari Lennox has me ready for a whole new album from her…she’s super dope and I love her voice as well!! Doja Cat’s rap on the “BMO” remix is too lit!!
