Hawaiian Hip Hop artist D-Rage releases his debut album titled ‘Deep Fire’ available now on all digital platforms. The 10-track project features B.Dvine, STS Blue, Thomas Coppola, Truck Jewels, and Gray Ston3.
D-Rage brings his A-game along with raw emotion and blatantly honest rhymes. He holds no bars when it comes to his past filled with demons, pain, tears, and self-medication. But don’t get it twisted, D-Rage is claiming his life back both as a man and a wordsmith.
The Breakout sets the album off with D-Rage declaring his readiness to rise. Unlike others, he is on another level and not skipping any corners or taking the fake route. In Cross The Line D-Rage’s cut-throat lyrics paint a vivid scene of the consequences and repercussions one might face for crossing him.
The Realest serves as the album’s anthem with a catchy hook sure to resonate. Still on his quest to rise from the ashes, D-Rage’s mental and physical are unstoppable. He vows not to fall for any facades or cookie-cutter bullsh*t. Listeners are sure to get inside the mind of D-Rage in Sacreligious. He shares about the trouble he’s conjured up from childhood to adulthood both in the home and in the streets. Sheesh piggybacks as we learn D-Rage is a natural psycho who needs to be put on chill mode. However, given the current state of the world, it makes sense he’s prepared for war…Vicious Malicious is a track for those who’ve done D-Rage wrong dating back to the third grade. For them, his dark intentions remain afloat.
Eyes on the Prize reflects on D-Rage’s driving force to exchange pills and excuses for a name in the game. This is the start of his shine and the start of him going places. All eyes are on him while his eyes are on the prize. Want What I Want reinforces his direction towards the prize, yet this menace at heart will move his own way with a back seat of alter egos.
In Deep, D-Rage takes listeners to a period where he was lost in negativity with a deleted soul. He depicts a life of being brainwashed, surviving only by his tears. The Warning mops up those minutes of sadness and brings us back to D-Rage in real-time…An artist ready to shake the game and rumble with the best in the game…D-Rage is here to make a name for himself by any means.
‘Deep Fire’ is brimming with gritty bass, striking tones, and cinematic vibes that heighten and intensify D-Rage’s emotion and complexity. Those unfamiliar with the Hawaiian sensation will become well versed after listening to ‘Deep Fire.’
In preparation for their upcoming new album “Space Craft” (out July 22), Chicago Hip Hop group Greenlight Music releases “CDC”, the first video off the album.
The album “Space Craft” was inspired by the COVID-19 pandemic. Remaining true to their core point of view — social, political, and economic themes are addressed with freshly written rhymes and surgically calculated, innovative production by RP.
The music is a throwback to the Golden Era of Hip Hop, reminiscent of 1990’s collaboratives like the Native Tongues, and best known for groups like Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, Jungle Brothers, and more.
Check out the “CDC” video below and be on the lookout for “Space Craft”, dropping July 22nd.
GREENLIGHTS Music is a production group created by Producer/Engineer/Emcee Andrés Roldan aka RP (former frontman for the live Chicago Hip Hop group Abstract Giants). They have been performing live as a band for over 4 years. A collaboration of sorts, the group features many talented musicians, singers, emcees and djs.
GREENLIGHTS Music is the definition of socially and politically conscious Hiphop who definitely brings back “Golden Era” boom-bap beats with modern day hifi production.
XnationalZ, the group project of Los Angeles’ producer/ rapper iota_arcane and producer Namo, releases their latest effort “NeveRTHELess”.
Entirely produced by Namo and written by iota_arcane, this release is an intellectual journey of thought and wordplay and a unique approach to entertainment.
Iota_arcane’s curious way of storytelling stands out so much that the words on NeVeRTHELess were printed in a limited run of poetry books to go along with a small production of cassette tapes (available via Bandcamp). The poetry book has an extra poem that didn’t make the final music project but was all penciled in while sky starring on iota’s stoop.
We often hear the phrase “for the culture” thrown around loosely but The Crimson Twins are just that. Matching their psychic connection and their love for real hip hop they want to bring back the feeling that we got the first time hearing the golden era sound of slappin beats and lyrical machine gun rap. They came to conquer the dumbed down current state of music and bring a revolution, reinforced through new rhymes and the sound that made you fall in love with hip hop. It’s a new flavor and a new style but feels like you’ve been here before on some déjà vu type of vibe.
The blue is for the working class warrior mindset, the crimson is for the blood, sweat and tears that have been put into their craft. A-$harp and Wes Nihil are the Crimson Twins! And they aren’t stopping for anything or anyone that steps In their path. Coming out of Brick City Newark N.J., in the middle of a pandemic, they are making the impossible possible. With their new video “Loan $harks” they’re bringing back music to the streets with a new old school type of magic to this. Blending boom bap beats with razor sharp bars, mixed with graffiti writing, their message is clear on the wall for all to see. Featuring the world renowned artist Cent, they’re back and rolling harder then ever in this carnivore, animalistic style track.

Coming to you all the way from Vienna, Austria, rapper Hightauer presents the multi-language first single “MMIB” featuring fellow Austrian MC/producer Soulcat E-Phife and vocalist Marie off his upcoming EP “Xeno”.
Afrofuturistic rapper and beatmaker Hightauer met the tough, sophisticated and soulful female MC/producer Soulcat this year and immediately felt a mutual creative vibe. They wrote the lyrics to “MMIB” (produced by Kapitel Kool & Jahcopin) in a single day, drinking Gin Tonic on the rocks, recorded right away and collaborated with one of the finest jazzy voices Austria currently has to offer. “MMIB” (Makingmusicontheblock) or in german: “MusikmachenimBlock” featuring Marie is this hypebreaking trio’s homage to the oldschool of Hip Hop. The music video incorporates elements from the legendary “Drop” video by The Pharcyde, another proof of the strong 90’s affinity of this group.
Hightauer’s new EP “Xeno” will be available in all digital music stores on 9/25.
