New Music Fridays

CAN YALL GUESS WHAT TODAY IS????

It’s Happy Juneteenth and here in Ohio it’s considered as a paid holiday, but I know all of us Black Americans will be in celebration all day! Why?? Juneteenth was the day Black Americans were declared totally free from slavery. To get more information in regards to this day of celebration click on the post that Barack Obama posted in regards to Juneteenth!

Also, in celebration of Juneteenth there will also be a special Verzuz battle between the talented Alicia Keys and the soulful, John Legend, who has a new project that I will be featuring today as well! I am too anxious to see this tonight! I am an Alicia Keys fan baby!!!!

Now let’s get started with NEW MUSIC FRIDAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BLACK EYED PEAS – TRANSLATION

This album will have you dancing thinking you are on an island with a cool refreshing drink in one hand the whole time!

JOHN LEGEND – BIGGER LOVE

Ohio native John Legend has finally dropped an album that isn’t a Christmas albums!!! I can guarantee that you guys will be overly satisfied with his results, especially with everything going on these days. It’s a blessing to be reminded of Black excellence! Don’t forget to check out John Legend tonight on Instagram LIVE doing a special Verzuz battle with Alicia Keys!!!

TEYANA TAYLOR – THE ALBUM

Teyana Taylor finally came thru with a well organized album with dope unexpected ass features with a beautiful voice as well!! I love how she keeps her music very transparent with her life, example, the intro is the original 911 recording of when she gave birth to her daughter at home. Only Teyana can provide that type of style with her music without giving out too much of her life. I enjoy artists who can turn their life stories into art, and create a vibe that no other artist is doing currently. I see why Charlamagne, from the Breakfast Club, says that she is an underrated artist, but I think after this…she might finally gets what she been deserved a few years ago. Congratulations Teyana!!!

SMOKEPURPP – FLORIDA JIT

Smokepurpp made sure that he was putting a lil bump in your ride with this album!! As I type this I haven’t stopped bobbing my head yet!

WALE – THE IMPERFECT STORM

If y’all didn’t know…I love me some Wale, I mean his music that is LOL It’s been 10 years and he’s in this game to stay while providing some of the best music that’s being played on radio stations every where. This project will leave you feening for more, but this will do for the moment.

TEE GRIZZLEY – THE SMARTEST

Ive been waiting for Detriot native, Tee Grizzley, to drop another project. It seems like it’s been forever since the last project, but if yo ear stays close to the streets, you will know that Tee Grizzley had quite a few misfortunes happen within the last couple of years! Now he’s pouring out his stress on this dope ass project. I think Tee Grizzley is underrated, but once he gets his mind right he’ll be back to making hits!!!

ERIC BELLINGER – HORS D’OEUVRES

What’s funny is that even if Eric Bellinger didnt drop a project today he still will recvieve credit for his work on Teyana Taylor album and on Wale’s new album. Eric comes ready to make those panty dropper songs as well as songs to keep you motivated such as “Mamba Mentality”.

CITY GIRLS – CITY ON LOCK

Sooooo…the word on the street is that someone leaked the City Girl’s singles from off there at the time forthcoming album. In response to the leaks the City Girls, chose to beat the haters and released the project last night. I’m actually glad they did because what is a summer without the City Girls?? I be needing to stay uplifted on my ratchedness, and they constantly fulfill that request for me LOL I swear I will bumping this album ALL weekend even tho it’s Father’s Day weekend, and of course I will be gifting my babydaddy a special gift. I’ll also be shaking dat ass while taking notes on how not to deal with these broke/cheap boys!!!

Have A Great Weekend Goodies!!!!

Tap Into What Masonry Dave Chappelle & Dr. EnQi Manifest

Masonry Dave Chappelle #846 highlights what Elijah Muhammad predicted and Dr. EnQi has been manifesting.

Young Pharaoh and many other YouTube teachers have associated dangerous sociopathic behavior with the Masons & Freemasons. I must admit that I too believed all these ideas without a second thought until I saw Dr. EnQi teach, it was a mind-blowing game changer!

Dr. EnQi connected the Dave Chappelle 846 show to some of the secret teachings of Elijah Muhammad with masterful precision, showing how all of today’s events are related. Young Pharaoh is awesome, but he should get with Dr. EnQi, I feel that YP has surpassed Sa Ra Suten Seti thus he has nothing left to learn from him. Dr. EnQi clearly has mastered certain levels of information YP has not quite tapped into.

Judge Joe Brown, Dr. EnQi Debate Natural Healing & Covid-19 (Video)

Judge Joe Brown was in rare form debating the benefits of Plant-Based eating and Herbs with the G.O.A.T of Holistic Health Science Dr. EnQi.

Dr. Sebi would have been proud of the way Dr. EnQi used the verbal shoulder roll patented by Floyd Mayweather to avoid the onslaught of hooks and uppercuts thrown by the Judge. In a world where we are plagued by a global pandemic, this is a must-listen for entertainment and more importantly education. This is another example of how Dr. EnQi single-handedly carries the Holistic Culture to new heights.

Big Smooth – P.A.P (Pennslyvania Avenue Punisher) EP

D/R Period, Rockboy Records, and Sony Music Entertainment/The Orchard present ‘P.A.P (Pennsylvania Avenue Punisher)’ by Big Smooth.

The 3-track project features Kyng Leek, JerseyBoy, and Berry Goodz with production by Jonny P, Blaque Beethovan, and executively produced by D/R Period.

Big Smooth shows off his versatility as an emcee and artist over gritty tones, chilling vibes, and knocking blends of bass and drums. As the general, he pays homage to his squad Rockboy G’z and embodies the codes of loyalty in “Rockboy 4 Lie.” He switches up the tempo in “On Me” while defining the correlation between money and women. “Aktion” is a hard track that everyone needs to listen to and take heed to. New Music Fridays

Hey Goodies!!! It’s New Music Fridays!!!!!!!!!!! My aplogies for not making a post last week…with everything going on for the #blacklivesmatter movement, I just didnt have the energy to celebrate any new releases. I want justice for those who have died due to the police brutality, and I am hoping that people of color will be able to see some type of change very soon.

This week of new releases is still lower than usual but the quality of what is being released is at a 10. The sisters, Chloe and Halle, founded by Beyonce, released a new project that sounds very mature from the last. I admit sometimes I stray away from the teeny boppy music even if they have superior vocals, I tend to go towards more adultish vibes. LOL Chloe and Halle project creates a nice vibe and literally had me anxious to hear what might be considered something in the “Ungodly Hour“. From cheating men issues to going on and getting tipsy to feeling lonely and overwhelmed, Chloe and Halle, allow you to come into their world showing their fans that they go through the same things too!

CHLOE X HALLE – UNGODLY HOUR

NORAH JONES – PICK ME OFF THE FLOOR

Norah Jones soulful voice is what I needed to hear during these uncertain times. Her voice gives me so much settled peace and understanding. While checking out page to seen what’s been up with the beautiful singer lately, I see she has been doing concerts at her home on live. Not only is that a great idea for artists and entertainers to do while in the midst of the Covid-19. Pick Me Off The Floor does not disappoints, it actually gives me what I need, it’s something that touches my soul!

RMR – DRUG DEALING IS A LOST ART

TEEJAY3K – INTROVERT: SIDE A

TSU SURF – MSYKM

I truly love how he tells stories!! It makes you want to hear more, and this project has some of the dopest features included! This is definitely worth a few listens!!

MR. EAZI – ONE DAY YOU WILL UNDERSTAND

PAUL WALL X LIL KEKE – SLAB TALK

NENO CALVIN – MAGNOLIA MANSION

SY ARI DA KID – A TOXIC HEARTBREAK

MZ. MOCHA – MZ. MOCHA VS. THE WORLD VOL. 2

Louisville city council unanimously pass ‘Breonna’s Law’ to ban no-knock warrants

“This is one of many critical steps on police reform that we’ve taken to create a more peaceful, just, compassionate and equitable community,” the Louisville mayor said.

June 11, 2020, 7:55 PM EDT / Updated June 11, 2020, 8:24 PM EDTBy Doha Madani

All 26 members of the Louisville Metro Council voted on Thursday to pass a ban on no-knock warrants, a measure known as “Breonna’s Law,” named after the former EMT who died in a police raid at her apartment.

The unanimously passed ordinance, which still needs to be approved by the mayor, bans any search warrant that does not require police to announce themselves and their purpose at the premises. It requires any Louisville Metro Police Department or Metro law enforcement to knock and wait a minimum of 15 seconds for a response.

Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer vowed to pass the ban as “soon as it hits my desk.”

“This is one of many critical steps on police reform that we’ve taken to create a more peaceful, just, compassionate and equitable community,” Fischer said on Twitter Thursday.

Black Out Tuesday #BlackoutTuesday

Today we stand in solidarity by blacking out our Social Media pages. Some of us have done the research and understand the purpose, some of us are following others because they think it’s just the right thing to do, some of us are posting just to post and others just don’t give a damn.

This movement was started by a group of Black Women and was later hijacked by who knows and thus the #BlackoutTuesday hashtag was started. The original hashtag was supposed to be #TheShowMustBePaused and it was intended to make an impact on the Music Industry.

#TheShowMustBePaused

Our Community is angry, tired, frustrated and ready for change. We’re displacing our anger on each other and being critical of how we individually or collectively choose to protest.

We may only be FREE-ISH but apart of that Free-ish-dom is the right to play our part the best we know how without criticism from within.

Ronald “Bee-Stinger” Savage Shares Hip Hop Movement History

Hip Hop pioneer Ronald “Bee-Stinger” Savage shares jewels and gems on the history of The Hip Hop Movement. “As the son of the movement, I firmly believe The Hip Hop Movement resides as law and order of Hip Hop.”

“Bee-Stinger, better known as “The Son of The Hip Hop Movement” (given to him by the legendary Busy Bee) was part of the younger generation in crowds in awe of the founding forefathers of Hip Hop. He recalls Busy Bee enlightening his mind, “you are all sons and daughters of Hip Hop culture.”

Here is some history that often is not noted in Hip Hop culture. DJ’s like Grandmaster Flowers and Pete DJ Jones were one of the first DJ’s in the clubs that people knew of who were spinning disco, then Hank Span from WWRL came along showing off his wordplay live on the radio. This inspired DJ’s to add hype on the mic like DJ Hollywood at Studio 54 & The Garage. Disco King Mario of the Black Spades (first division) from Bronxdale projects, created one of the early venues to play Hip Hop at P.S. 123 in the Bronx and was DJing outside in the parks. He is also credited as DJ to Chief Rocker Busy Bee (1st solo emcee to rap on the mic in the realm of Hip Hop). The Hip Hop Movement also recognizes the true first ladies of Hip-Hop including Sha Rock, Lisa Lee, and Debbie Dee. In 1982 Melle Mel changed the game in Hip Hop with his recording of the song “The Message” which became an instant classic and one of the first glimmers of conscious Hip Hop.  During the golden age of rap in the 90’s Public Enemy blasted on the scene and gave the Hip Hop Movement the legs to stand on…

In 1990, also while working with the rap group Snap!, Ronald “Bee-Stinger” Savage a former member of the Zulu Nation is credited for carving the term “Six Elements of the Hip Hop Movement” as inspired by Public Enemy’s recordings. The “Six Elements of The Hip Hop Movement” are Consciousness Awareness, Civil Rights Awareness, Activism Awareness, Justice, Political Awareness, and Community Awareness in music…

Ronald “Bee-Stinger” Savage went on to develop The Hip Hop Movement’s foundation in late 2016. His efforts were not unnoticed, in fact, the movement and brand became a major staple in Hip Hop culture as well as a registered service mark. The movement connects R&B, Civil Rights Movement, and Hip Hop culture into one brand, “Hip is the culture and Hop is the movement.”

Today, The Hip Hop Movement is the backbone of Hip Hop as it addresses persistent societal issues. Its mission is to provide a platform for emcees to share their conscious music that exudes substance and positive messages for our youth and communities, messages that strive for encouragement and empowerment. “Artists and Hip Hop enthusiasts head over to The Hip Hop Movement’s streaming channel on ROKU TV and submit your music now.”
