The Edgewater Ep By Megadon216 & Surfklub216

I got the pleasure to check out this nice EP from Cleveland’s own Megadon216 called “The Edgewater EP”. Edgewater, which is the name of one of the parks that is situated by Lake Erie here in Cleveland, OH. The EP, is representing an alternative brand of Hip Hop called “Surf-Hop” and is based off Megadon’s alternative ideology “The Seven Laws of Surf Hop”.

Starting off with the intro song, Pantheon Intro, which catches your attention as soon as the base drops, which creates an anxious feeling to make you want to hear more. Megadon216 who states that he wants to “Be where the champions be” sets a tone expectation to see what will Mega deliver next! “Can’t Stop This Wave” that is produced by Blair Neff is a song that is a radio hit! I found myself playing it back to back LOL On the song “Gnarley” I truly love the hook on this single that is produced by Melrose Zee. Thhe song with a feature including a singer named, Esther Fitz, whose voice I have already fell in love with for her voice is something different than the norm!

Overall, I truly loved the vibe of this EP! I like how everything is composed & even though, Megadon216 is a lyrical artist, he made sure to keep listeners riding the wave he has created from, beginning to the end with the goal of being the best! Megandon216 made sure to shout some people out on the single “Show My Love” including 216 The Beat’s own Cream of the Crop!!! Here’s the track listing of the EP:

1.) Pantheon Intro (Prod. By JRock Beats)
2.) Can’t Stop This Wave (Prod. By Blair Nerf)
3) Gnarly (Prod. By Melrose Zee)
4) Like You Ft. Esther Fitz (Prod. By E Haynes)
5) Show Me Love 2 (Prod. By Rioretti)
6) The Beach (Prod. By Black Metaphor

Ride this Cleveland wave & make sure to check it out!

Ray J Is Making Marks in the Technology World!

Ray J just closed a $31 millin deal to launch Raycon, his new electronic transportation brand.

Singer & TV personality, Ray J, has announced a new $31 million deal to secure the launch of his electronic transportation brand, Raycon. Ray J finalized the deal with Cowboy Wholesale, who is a leading distributor of consumer electronics based out of New York City. Little did I know, Ray J has been the CEO of his own electronics brand, Raytronics, and in 2015, it became known best for the Scoot-E-Bike. The bike is a foldable 2 wheeled electric vehicle.

In describing the everyday need of urban technology making an impact on electrical transportation, per BusinessWire, Ray J stated “The world is moving towards renewable green energy, and electric transportation is a big part of that. With the Raycon movement, we are going to make sure we are one of the first ones there.”

This partnership Ray J has with Cowboy Wholesale, is expected to be a great & profitable move. Cowboy Wholesale, per their agreement, will come with a management team that includes a board of advisers who already have great business relations with companies such as Sony, Coby Electronics, and Pepsi. As the only distributer of Raycon, Cowboy Wholesale, will be marketing products in the United States, Asia, and Europe.

I personally want to give Ray J a virtual hive five for consistently working & upgrading his brand to be more than just as an entertainer. We actually are seeing a different layer to Ray J instead of the used to be drama filled singer/entertainer & I truly am learning to respect him for the man that he is, Willie Norwood Jr.

To check out the interview Ray J did with Cheddar TV about the $31 million deal click here.

The official product launch will be in mid to late November 2017 & available for purchase at rayconglobal.com

TRAPP Classic “CUPREME” Listening Session

Afternoon Loves,

I was recently invited to attend a Private Listening Session for the releasing of “Trapp Classic”; A production from World Famous DJ- DJ Brad.

DJ Brad is an International celebrity DJ and Producer. He has been in the entertainment industry for several years. He, along with artist Cupreme teamed up to bring us Trapp Classic.

Trapp Classic highlights the artist “Cupreme”. His inspiration behind the album is his experiences grinding and “trapping” to make it to where he is today. Cupreme has built his brand New Money Productions from the ground up. He was humble about his success and he has only been rapping professionally for 2 years.

My favorite songs includes: “Out Da Dow”, “I Just Wanna”, and “Trenches”. I would compare Cupremes music to the 90s era of Project Pat, and  8 Ball & MJ-G. You could assume from listening to his music that he has been through alot of struggle to get to his platform of success.

This event was held at Mass Appeal Boutique; A local Contemporary Men’s Clothing and Sneaker boutique. Mass Appeal is a family owned business, and the owner Michelle which everyone calls ‘Auntie’  is very detailed and has excellent customer service.

Mass Appeal is a host for many meet and greets featuring famous names such as Dae-Dae, K-Camp, Stevie-J, Trae the Truth, DJ Luke Nasty and many more. The store is big on having people play on the “Kicks Master”; a game in which you are timed to try and win a pair of fresh kicks. It’s very entertaining to watch the machine defeat people as they continue to play over and over. Only a select few have won.

Check out Mass Appeal in store at 2280 Chesire Bridge Rd. Atlanta, GA 30324. Also follow them on Instagram @MassAppealATL.

N.E.R.D. Debuts New Album at ComplexCon

N.E.R.D. debuted the album “No_One Ever Really Dies” while performing at ComplexCon.

One of my favorite groups, N.E.R.D., performed at the ComplexCon, at the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center in Long Beach, California. What makes this performance standout is that N.E.R.D., who consists of Chad Hugo & Pharell Wiliams, performed the entire album to “No_One Ever Really Dies”.

Just last week the group released the single “Lemon” which features Rihanna coming in with a nice flow on the beat! Watch the video below!

Now do not get too excited….The album has no release date as of yet, but per the performance,we can assume that the album will feature Gucci Mane, Wale, Future, Kendrick Lamar, M.I.A., Andre 3000, and Ed Sheeran. That list alone has me already too anxious for it to be released! Check it out below:

  1. Deep Down Body Thirst
  2. Lemon ft. Rihanna
  3. Viola’ ft. Gucci Mane & Wale
  4. I000 ft. Future
  5. Don’t Do It ft. Kendrick Lamar

  7. ESP

Ok….So Who Is Brother Love?

Sean “Diddy” Combs has changed his name yet again!!

Sean “Diddy” Combs has changed his name again. The man of many different aliases & stage names decided that going by Diddy is not where he is at in life right now. He rather now be called “Love” or “Brother Love”. This comes at a surprise for we are just now getting used to the name Diddy. Sean just turned 48 years old on November 4th, and wanted to announce his changes to the world via a video posted to his twitter page.

“I have some very serious..serious news..umm..I been praying on this and I decided…I know it’s risky…it could come off corny to some people. Well…I decided to change my name again….I’m just not who I am before. I’m something different…so my knew name is “Love” aka “Brother Love”….I will not be answering to Puffy, Diddy, Puff Daddy or any of my other monikers, but “Love” or “Brother Love”

Do not be alarmed, Sean or Brother Love, is not going to change his name permanently, this is only for entertainment purposes. I do wonder what positive energy is in his life right now that is keeping him on a peace, love, and happiness vibe. Whatever it is Brother Love, I am still down like 4 flats and Happy Birthday to you!!!
