Beyonce & Jay-Z Celebrate His Birthday With a Special Photo Op!

Beyonce & Jay-Z celebrated his birthday with a special photo op that is creating deja vu across the internet!

The couple was spotted out last night in New York City celebrating Sean Jay-Z Carter’s 48th birthday. Paps caught the couple downtown at a movie theatre that the couple had rented out for them & close friends to use in celebration of Jay-z’s birthday, and did not plan on doing too much since the rapper is currently on the 4:44 Tour.
When the film was over and everyone was taking the elevator down to exit, Jay-Z told one of his photographers to “hurry up. C’mon up- get it” urging them to take the pic before the couple exited to their car. To everyone’s surprise the couple had recreated the similar seen from back in 2014 at the MET Gala, when the famous elevator fight had occurred between Jay-Z & Beyonce’s sister, Solange, who accused Jay-Z of infidelity, which led to Beyonce making the album Lemonade, for which the the whole point of the album was to talk about her husbands cheating ways. Then Jay-Z follows up with the album 4:44, for which he apoligized for doing his wife wrong, and finally admitted to his cheating in a recent interview Sean did with The New York Times.

At the end of the day….Who likes to stay focused on the negativity from the past…2 babies later? Per Jay-Z, when Beyonce was making the album Lemonade, it was intended to be a collaboration, but instead turned into Bey’s venting album that helped to repair their marriage.

Of course the internet has been going HAM on the fact that the photo would have been different if Solange was there!

I can at least say that the couple look like the they are taking things day by day, and seems to be truly happy at the state of their relationship. Recreating the elevator incident by turning it into something funny is always a start toward the positive. Happy Birthday Jay-Z!!!

Rihanna Does Not Want To Use Trans Models In Her Fenty Beauty Campaign

Rihanna responds to comment about the lack of trans models in her Fenty Beauty campaign stating that she does not want to use trans people as a “convenient marketing tool”.

Rihanna, responding back to a direct message from a fan who wrote “Fenty Beauty campaign is awesome, next time you record something you should invite a trans girl to the group”. Rihanna, wrote back explaining that whether or not someone is trans is none of my business and that she would not include someone as the “token trans model”.

The comment did come from a fan of Rihanna’s who had sent a message to her Twitter account suggesting that Rihanna should be hiring trans women to show off her popular line of beauty products. To the fans surprise Rihanna sent back a nice, lengthy and thoughtful response. Rihanna explained why she does not have those type of castings which are specifically looking for that type of person due to sexuality or race.

“Ive had the pleasure of working with many gifted trans women throughout the years, but I don’t go around doing trans casting! Just like I don’t do straight non trans women castings!”

“Too often do I see companies doing this to trans and black women alike! There’s always just that one spot in the campaign for the token “we look mad diverse” girl/guy! Its sad!”

Rihanna’s fans actually appreciated her response to the fan’s question. Forme, I just never understand the reasoning as to why in this world we have to label everything? Instead of saying yes we used a transexual model, it sould be yes, we used this model because of whatever the casting called for. I also agree with Rihanna, when she states that “It’s personal and some trans women are more comfortable about being open about it than others so I have to respect that as a women myself!”

At the end of the day everyone wants to be able to live their own life without being judged on sex and/or race. The point that I am taking from Rihanna is that her beauty line is being marketed to anyone regardless of who you are. If you love Fenty Beauty, Rihanna loves you too!

Jay-Z explains why he and Beyonce didn’t divorce: ‘Most people walk away’

Jay-Z is continuing his public admission of guilt in a wide-ranging interview with the New York Times.

Along with talking about his latest album, 4:44, which detailed his infidelity and reconciliation with his wife of nine years, Beyonce, Jay-Z explained why the two decided to stay together after multiple incidents of infidelity on his part.

“You know, most people walk away, and the divorce rate is like 50 percent or something ’cause most people can’t see themselves,” he said. “The hardest thing is seeing pain on someone’s face that you caused, and then have to deal with yourself.”

The two wed in secret on April 4, 2008, in front of friends and family.

Jay-Z, 47, also said he wasn’t surprised by his wife’s album, “Lemonade,” which spoke about a woman discovering her beloved is cheating on her, among other themes such as race, daughter-father relationships and, of course, women’s empowerment.

In the interview, Jay also confirmed the two have been working on a long-rumored joint album.

“We were using our art almost like a therapy session. And we started making music together,” he said. “Lemonade” was released first because it was closer to completion and he said it felt like “she should go first and share her truth.”

“The music she was making at that time was further along,” he continued. “So her album came out as opposed to the joint album that we were working on. Um, we still have a lot of that music. And this is what it became.”

“There was never a point where it was like, ‘I’m making this album.’ I was right there the entire time,” he said. “[We were] … both very, very uncomfortable, but […] the best place in the, you know, hurricane is like in the middle of it.”

“We were sitting in the eye of that hurricane,” Jay-Z added. “Uh, maybe not use hurricane because so many people are being affected right now. But the best place is right in the middle of the pain. And that’s where we were sitting. And it was uncomfortable. And we had a lot of conversations.”

Jay-Z, who has two young daughters and a son with Beyonce, 36, said he was “proud” of the “Lemonade” album, released in April 2016 to much fanfare.

“And, you know, at the end of the day we really have a healthy respect for one another’s craft,” he added. “I think she’s amazing.”

Cam’ron Speaks On Breakup With JuJu

After the recent drama that ensued when LHHNY’s JuJu confirmed that she and Cam’ron split after over 10 years of dating, Killa Cam is speaking out. The Dipset rapper was a guest on “The Breakfast Club” this week where he primarily spoke on Mase and those diss tracks they traded.
While there, however, he was asked by Angela Yee to speak on his former relationship and he revealed that he and JuJu broke up because it “wasn’t fun anymore.”

“Yeah but you know basically it was kinda mutual,” said Cam’ron. “For me it just wasn’t fun anymore, I met JuJu in 2002, she was my friend before we started being serious. That was my homegirl and everything was fun. Once Instagram came out, I”m the one promoting her on Instagram, marketing her, showing her body, showing how beautiful she is without being too distasteful about it—[but] basically, it stopped being fun.
Then it started getting serious. ‘Why you following her?!’ ‘Why you liking this person picture?!’ That was my best friend for years and I think she felt that way too.”

According to Cam, he and JuJu have been broken up for around SIX months and she had plans to reveal the breakup on “Love & Hip Hop NY.” And as for that “side chick” who claimed that she was the new woman in Cam’s life, that’s just his homegirl Roxxi.

JuJu and Roxxi’s beef apparently started when JuJu’s sister commented on Cam being seen out with one of his friends, a white woman named Cole. Roxxi jumped in to defend the woman and JuJu also jumped in leading Roxxi to completely fabricate rumors she was sleeping with Cam.

“Hell no, that’s my homegirl. Word to my son, I never touched her, kissed her, nothing,” said Cam’ron. “Roxxi came at JuJu and started acting like we were f*** to make JuJu mad. They [Roxxi and JuJu] know each other, we all hang out. Everybody knows I’m not f**** Roxxi, JuJu knows I’m not f**** Roxxi.”

He also added that he didn’t try to stop their public beef because he didn’t want to get in between two women arguing and added that JuJu’s next boyfriend will have “the best girl in the world.”

Oh Cam, luckily it looks like JuJu’s doing just fine without him.

Rihanna says she Trans Men & Women shouldn’t be used as marketing tools

Rihanna: “I don’t think it’s fair that a trans woman, or man, be used as a convenient marketing tool”

“Too often I see companies doing this to trans and black women alike,” the singer wrote in response to a fan.

Rihanna‘s Fenty Beauty has been praised for its inclusivity, offering a wide variety of shades not usually found in makeup. When a fan suggested she use trans models to promote the next Fenty Beauty campaign, the pop star shared a thoughtful response.

“I’ve had the pleasure of working with many gifted trans women over the years,” she wrote, “but I don’t go around doing trans castings! Just like I don’t do straight non trans women castings. I respect all women. Whether they’re trans or not is none of my business.”

She also criticized fashion and beauty brands for exploiting trans people in their campaigns. “I don’t think it’s fair that a trans woman, or man, be used as a convenient marketing tool,” she wrote. “Too often I see companies doing this to trans and black women alike. There’s always just that one spot in the campaign for the token ‘we look mad diverse’ girl/guy! It’s sad!”

Russell Simmons steps down after sexual assault allegation

Russell Simmons is stepping down from his companies in the wake of an accusation of harassment and sexual assault.

Simmons, the founder of hip-hop music label Def Jam Recordings and CEO of Rush Communications, released a statement on Thursday after screenwriter Jenny Lumet accused him of forcing her to have sex with him in 1991. She detailed the encounter in a guest column published by The Hollywood Reporter on Thursday.

“I have been informed with great anguish of Jenny Lumet’s recollection about our night together in 1991,” Simmons said in a statement. “I know Jenny and her family and have seen her several times over the years since the evening she described. While her memory of that evening is very different from mine, it is now clear to me that her feelings of fear and intimidation are real. While I have never been violent, I have been thoughtless and insensitive in some of my relationships over many decades and I sincerely and humbly apologize.”

The statement continued: “This is a time of great transition. The voices of the voiceless, those who have been hurt or shamed, deserve and need to be heard. As the corridors of power inevitably make way for a new generation, I don’t want to be a distraction so I am removing myself from the businesses that I founded. The companies will now be run by a new and diverse generation of extraordinary executives who are moving the culture and consciousness forward. I will convert the studio for yogic science into a not-for-profit center of learning and healing. As for me, I will step aside and commit myself to continuing my personal growth, spiritual learning and above all to listening.”

In Lumet’s column she wrote that, “maybe recalling of this incident can be helpful” to other women who have spoken out against Simmons, but realizes there’s a lot at stake in coming forward with her story.

“There is so much guilt, and so much shame,” Lumet wrote. “There is an excruciating internal reckoning. As a woman of color, I cannot express how wrenching it is to write this about a successful man of color.”

HBO announced in a statement Thursday afternoon that they were dropping Simmons from an upcoming stand-up series, “All Def Comedy,” which he produced with the premium network. The series is set to premiere December 1.

“HBO will be airing All Def Comedy as planned,” an HBO spokesperson said. “However, Russell Simmons will not appear in the new series and we will be removing his name from the show moving forward. The series is a platform for promising and upcoming comedians and we do not want to deprive them of an opportunity to showcase their talents to a national audience. We have no other projects with Russell Simmons.”

This latest accusation made by Lumet comes after a Los Angeles Times report published on November 19 that detailed allegations of sexual misconduct made against director Brett Ratner and Simmons. A woman quoted in the story said Ratner and Simmons were “in it together.”

Ratner and Simmons denied the allegations, with Simmons adding that, “abusing women in any way shape or form violates the very core of my being.”

Simmons, 60, got his start in the music industry in the early 80s managing his younger brother, Joseph “Rev. Run” Simmons’ hip-hop group, Run-D.M.C. The group is widely hailed as an early pioneer of hip hop music. Simmons co-founded Def Jam Recordings with Rick Rubin in 1984. Some of the biggest names in hip hop have at one point or another been signed to the label: Jay-Z, Public Enemy, LL Cool J and currently Iggy Azalea and Justin Bieber to name a few.

But it’s not just music that helped make Simmons a household name. He went on to create several successful clothing lines, including Phat Farm, Argyleculture and Tantris.

Under his company Rush Communications Inc., Simmons has also been heavily involved in philanthropy. In 1995, he and his brothers, Rev. Run and Danny Simmons, co-founded the Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation, which helps expose inner city youth to the arts. Simmons was named a Goodwill Ambassador to the UN in 2009 and has also been a strong supporter of gay rights and animal rights. In recent years, Simmons has been very vocal about his spirituality, calling himself a “Christian yogi.” In 2016, he opened a yoga studio in Los Angeles called Tantris.

Simmons joins a long list of Hollywood power players who have been accused of sexual misconduct in the last two months. Two exposés published in October that detailed movie mogul Harvey Weinstein’s alleged harassment and assault against women opened the floodgates for others to come forward with their experiences. Weinstein has denied all allegations of non-consensual sex.

Since then, some of media’s biggest names, including Kevin Spacey, Louis C.K., Matt Lauer, Charlie Rose and Mark Halperin, have been terminated from their jobs or lost lucrative deals over similar allegations of sexual misconduct.

CNN reached out to Simmons’ representatives for comment who directed us to Simmons’ official statement.

CNN’s Frank Pallotta contributed to this report.
