MGK Responds Back to Eminem Diss!!

This past Friday, the internet was blazing off the unexpected release of Eminem’s album, Kamikaze, which had a lot of shade being thrown at certain entertainers, one being, Cleveland’s own Machine Gun Kelly!

Well….MGK did not disappoint! He made sure to respond back the next day with a track titled “Rap Devil”.

In my opinion, MGK did what he was supposed to do and went IN on Eminem….I do not care if Em responds back or not! At least MGK came battle ready!!! I swear this rap beef has not only Detroit & Cleveland in the spotlight, but it seems to be a certain theme going here LOL

The Showcase!!!

So.. had the chance to bless my lovely appearance at a listening party for one of Cleveland’s hottest artists on the COME UP!!

The management group, Bandz Gang Management, threw a nice listening party for up n coming Cleveland artist, Artinka Teaira, appriopiately called “The Showcase”.

Once I got there I was instantly excited to see that the parking lot was filled with people who was there for the listening party too!

While waiting for the main event I was very entertained by all the artists who performed. My only disappointment was noticing how a couple of the performers did not remember the words to their own song…I am very particular about “presentation”… for your first impression will always be remembered & will determine if you gained a new fan, but with good practice & management I know they can do well for I did find myself vibing to their music.

Now….once Artinka Teaira finally graced the stage, she truly turned the place up! Artinka has a style that can offer variety for she can sing and rap AND have subject matter that me and my momma can relate to. I even noticed how majority of the females already knew the words to her songs and felt what she was saying. I even found myself bopping my head left and right to her music LOL

From when she first entered the stage, Artinka, gave me the feeling that she is a cool person, and she did prove to be as such when I introduced myself to her! When I say I had a great time??? I truly did! Any time I can enjoy some good music with people whose energy was so cool…I truly appreciate it!

Make sure to follow Artinka Teaira & the other performers:

MegaDon Concert At The Grog Shop

MegaDon got blessed to open up for one of my favorite artists, Project Pat, at the Grog Shop in Cleveland Hts, OH!!

I wrote a review for Cleveland, Ohio artist MegaDon a while back for his Edgewater Ep, so when he told the station about an upcoming show for which he would be opening up for Project Pat, I totally could not pass up the oppertunity!

The concert was held at the legendary Grog Shop in the historic Coventry Village area located in the suburb of Cleveland Heights, Ohio. Since this was my very first time attending a show at the Grog Shop, I was very excited, and could not wait to turn up!

Prior to MegaDon coming to the stage, there was a group of young men who had “RIP XXX” on they shirts. A very cool dance group, they literally held the crowd’s attention…peep the video below!

After the artists with the “RIP XXX” left the stage, it was time for MegaDon to enter! I totally felt his energy mixed with a little bit of excitement and probably a little bit of nervousness, with an overall stage presence that demanded attention. Some of the songs MegaDon performed were from the Edgewater Ep. You could tell the crowd was feeling it by the wave of hands in the air vibing to the music.

Once his set was over, MegaDon shouted out his family who came to support, 216 The Beat radio station, Cream, the station owner and even me, Mz. Slim Goody! I admit it felt good to finally support one of the artists who supports the station & puts on for my City of Cleveland!!!

For more of MegaDon’s performance check out the video below!

FYI! Excuse my so called video editing LMAO

Spotify Removes “Hate Conduct” Policy Following Backlash

Spotify has now removed its “Hate Conduct” policy following backlash after removing R Kelly & XXXTentacion songs

https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js

I swear these days, anything that is remotely in reference to R Kelly’s music is feeling some type of heat right now! Why?? Obviously his fans are outraged that due to these recent kidnap and “slavery” type of allegations going around makes it quite hard to enjoy listening to his music. So much so that in May Spotify declared that they will make R Kelly’s and XXXTentacion’s music to not be as easily accessible as before with a “Hate Consent & Hateful Conduct” policy.

Sounds like a good idea right? Well….after Spotify had made their stance against R Kelly and XXTentacion’s music, their fans made sure to search out and play these artists songs more than usual! They literally brought both artist streaming stats to record highs that Spotify had no choice but to bring these artist’s music back!

In a statement released on Friday, the streaming service said it had created “confusion and concern”.

On Wednesday Spotify CEO Daniel Ek admitted it “could have done a much better job”.

On Friday, they explained the policy, which has 2 parts. The first, relating to the decision to remove artists from playlists if they were involved in “controversies”, has now been reversed.

“We created concern that allegations might affect artists’ chances of landing on a Spotify playlist and negatively impact their future,” the statement explains.

“Some artists even worried that mistakes made in their youth would be used against them. That’s not what Spotify is about.”

The second part focused on hate content, described as content whose principal purpose is to incite hatred or violence.

Spotify says this policy will remain but they clarified that “offensive, explicit, or vulgar content” don’t violate the terms.

Some artists feel as if its only hop hop music that’s being targeted. I think overall, Spotify wants to just stay out the clear of everything & hope to please everyone while still maintaining a safe musical environment.

Duppy Freestyle | Drake’s Pusha T Diss

Drake did what Drake does and the internet went NUTS!!!

When will these rappers stop allowing a dude in a turtleneck defeat them? Why haven’t they learned from the Meek Mill fiasco?

Drake might be lightskinned and he may be “corny”, to some people; but what he isn’t is afraid to clapback!

What are your thoughts on his diss track? Comment below

Drake Announces New Album

Drake posted a pic of himself wearing a black jacket with the words “Scorpion” written on top and the date “June Twenty Eighteen” written underneath.

📀 JUNE 2018

Hey guys, Im back and better than ever with the most up to date entertainment news with a dab of my perspective! Well, while I was scrolling down my timeline I came across a post Drake made that seems to provide his fans the title of his up coming album and the date of release!

In the picture its Drake wearing an all black varsity type jacket, Drake has his back to the camera so all you can see is the back of the jacket which states “Scorpion” then under it states “June Twenty Eighteen” and lastly ending with “By Drake”.

I am not surprised by this post for Drake has released two singles for which his fans can assume will be featured on a new album. The first single “God’s Plan”, dropped a couple months ago, that documented him traveling around the city of Miami blessing people with the million dollar budget he was supposed to had spent for the video.

Then just almost two weeks ago he dropped another single titled “Nice For What” that gives me that New Orleans bounce feeling, and I swear I heard a Big Freedia sample. What makes the video to this song so special is instead of Drake using the normal formula, women shaking their asses, oh no! Drake was actually celebrating powerful and successful women, for example, Rashida Jones, Olivia Wilde, Tracey Ellis Ross and more.

I do wonder what Drake has planned for this album, which is titled the name of his horoscope, Scorpio. After these two singles, which both provided a message, I have a feeling that the rest of this album will continue with this vibe. What ever has inspired Drake to come thru with such positive images during this time of the “Me Too” movement and women big ups lately, provides his fans with a refreshing sound, but still worthy to be played in the club type of music.
