The question buzzing from everyone’s lips; Did Drake steal Toosie Slide from an “older” up and coming artist by the name of Dr. EnQi (student of Dr. Sebi).
How the megastar noticed the up and comer is still a mystery! Many are saying Drake is part of Dr. EnQi’s online following anonymously and that’s where he heard the hit single, “Artificial Intelligence” aka the Alkaline Slide. You be the judge…
18-year-old Lil Josiey releases a new single titled “Sunset Shawty.” The New-York based artist carries his heart on his sleeve, and through his music, it’s evident he’s on a mission to find true love.
The infectious guitar strumming and acoustic vocals heighten Josiey’s raw emotions while he treads a thin tightrope, broken and bruised. However, through it all, he is determined to come back on top and won’t miss out on the next ‘sunset shawty’.
Stream “Sunset Shawty” and connect with Lil Josiey below.
This week in new music is kind of mellow with the biggest project being released today is Tory Lanez project. He just announced this project yesterday when Instagram reinstated his page after a fan had did some explicit things while on his live video. If you guys haven’t checked out Tory’s “Quarantine Radio” yet, please put that on your “Things to do List” LOL The New Toronto 3, is a cool project, but then Tory is pretty consistent with releasing decent work! If this album reminds me of anything, it’s his first debut album, telling fans stories from his life prior to becoming who he is today. Of course he made sure to include tracks that you can vibe too, especially one that eerily reminds me of Cleveland’s own Q Money’s type of vibe.
Louisville, Kentucky’s own 2KBaby dropped his EP with 10 tracks that will have you craving for more. I definitely love the vibe on this project, and I am anxious to hear more from him.
I can not lie…I expect quality fire from Dj Drama and now here he comes back with a part 2 with 24Hrs!!! In my opinion…this is definitely a must listen. Nothing to learn from here but you will have a major vibe going on at 12am chillin in your bedroom bumping this in your bluetooth speaker LOL
Lately all of my favorite Houston artists have dropped some nice projects. Im talking about Lil Flip, Paul Wall, Slim Thug, and now Z-RO!!! Z-RO‘s project is a must listen…only 7 tracks, but vibe worthy with a splash of old school.
I swear Asian Doll is soooo underrated!!! No matter how many projects she drops the shit is fire! I need Gucci Mane to promote her better or something…we need more of her!!!
Lastly, ya’ll better purchase Boosie new project…during this quarantine you should only be listening to real ni66as anyways, and he is certainly one.
Honorable mention for this week are 2KBaby, N.O.R.E., JAG, Kari Faux, Audio Push
HIT OR MISS SUNDAYS IS THIS SUNDAY LIVE ON FACEBOOK AT 4PM EASTERN!!!
STEVE AOKI coming thru with a dope project that I can guarantee will keep your party going until the wee hours!!! This fire project has the most unexpected features ever who include Tory Lanez, Travis Barker, Backstreet Boys, and more!
I honestly never heard of the artist THUNDERCAT until today! I can admit that while listening to his album, I was just in awe. His album is such a mood. While being stuck in the house you can blast this album while freshening up your home or even just chilling with a glass wine looking at the sunset. Thundercat has enlisted some cool people to be featured on his project like Childish Gambino and Ty Dolla $ign to name a few! A$AP TWELVYY last album was in 2017 so it was a fresh breath of air to see that he has a new project coming out today. Twelvyy tends to stay consistent by giving us dope bars on top of fire beats. KIANA LEDE actress from the second season of MTV’s horror series Scream is now out with her own project which has such a nice vibe. She has such a decent voice I can see why we are being blessed with it. Her project is filled with songs that we all can relate to and dope features such as Ari Lennox, Lucky Daye, 6Black, Moneybagg Yo and others! Just the names alone should have you wanting to hear what this artist has to give to the world. Make sure to go on her social medias an wish her a very Happy Birthday!!!
My honorable mentions for the week are: Rod Wave, Sauce Twinz, Tank, Comethazine, and Vedo!!
STEVE AOKI – NEON FUTURE IV

DMV’s seasoned and celebrated artistY’man Dog, releases a new album titled ‘Dogma (Dog Eat Dog)’. The solo 15-track project is said to be his top release to date.
Y’man Dog shows off his skill set as an emcee and eclecticism as an artist throughout the album’s entirety, which is brimming with street records, anthems, and even something for the ladies.
The Oxon Hill, Maryland based native engages listeners through impeccable wordplay and aggressive yet truth-based lyricism detailing his life and what’s made him and continues to empower his shine. Y’man Dog pays homage to his hood, depicts personal dog eat dog world survival tactics, and embodies the impact of mental and physical warfare.
The “Gangsta Humanitarian” also switches up the tempo, anthem style, with a focus on his grind, ability to keep his eyes on the prize, and the brush of wildfires when he shuts the scene down! If that’s not enough, Y’man Dog reveals a vulnerable side and shares about his lustful desires and yearning to please the right woman.
Overall, Y’man Dog delivers a diverse selection of records that emulate his growth as both a man and an artist. The production which includes distinct piano keys, hard beats, soulful tones, and a perfect arrangement of classic and modern cadences heightens his lyrical deliverance and raw emotion. One thing is evident, after listening to ‘Dogma’ it’s almost impossible to shake the name “Gangsta Humanitarian.”
While everyone is self quarantining might as well check out some new music while the kids are Fortniting themselves to death LOL This week new music is not as lit as last week, but anytime I see new music from The Weeknd, Lil Flip, and Paul Wall you gots to check it out!!!
Please believe you will not be disappointed!! While we are shut down make sure to follow the blog as well as my pages for I will be finding dope music to listen to!
To begin, Dr. EnQi states those are rumors based on his video, “Rabbit Got The Gun.” He has an album being released by the United Plates of America based on the urban documentary, SOULCRAFT. The buzz and frenzy are pretty intense leading people to chatter about the leading single “Rabbit Got The Gun” as if it was based on actual events. Dr. EnQi commented about receiving countless calls, texts, and messages about sticking up Polight and Saneter, pistol-whipping Billy Carson, and several other fallacies.
To truly comprehend you need to listen and watch the visuals. He states, “I just spoke to the feelings of the community being outraged at the scams and fake sh$t! People are realizing Polight probably even scammed Dr. Sebi with the story of Diabetes so many have lost time and money, it’s sad. We were all fooled!”
“The music is just the next chapter in the Soulcraft Urban Documentary Series. There is no way to completely address the soul without dealing with the effects of music on biochemistry. I have been renamed by some of my more passionate followers as FOTS short for Founder of the Soul.”
The album isn’t about robbing and kidnapping Muslims or conscious teachers, rather, according to Dr. EnQi, it’s Binaural Beat Science and Cymatics in Synesthesia combined with “The Love Below” and “Get Rich or Die Trying” and a splash of “Thank Me Later.”
“Industry insiders are calling the album the dawn of a new era in rap” -Dr. EnQi
Dr. EnQi is the first-ever authentic leader from the conscious community to fill a huge void for music in their niche or growing subculture. J. Cole, David Banner, and others have attempted to pass themselves off as part of the conscious movement, but according to Dr. EnQi, they are seen as frauds by the community. The album is produced by WorkMajor, Madd Bass, RKitech & EssMan, and collectively they have produced for Jodeci, Eminem, D12, 50, Naughty by Nature, Sticky Fingaz, Tyrese, The Hit Squad, EPMD, Fat Joe, Keith Murray, Buckshot, G-Unit, KSolo, Def Jam, Universal, Interscope, Sony, Warner, Bad Boy, Tommy Boy, and Atlantic Records.
The 18-track album tackles the crack epidemic, private prisons, Cointellpro, the definition to be woke/conscious in 2020, conscious socializing, Social Media, conscious consumption, nature vs nurture, raising children, divorce, child support, domestic violence, the science of sound/light, music business, digital footprints, legacy, and believe it or not, much more!
“Accepting there’s a huge community without any musical representation has created a gold-rush mentality, however, we need conscious artists to tap into it. This album is a global classic, and it’s both amazing and refreshing how ‘street’ it is while remaining highly conscious.” The album is coming soon, so stay tuned! Watch “Rabbit Got The Gun” and connect with @DrEnQi on Instagram and YouTube.
Continuing 2019’s Dream Trails magic, Def-i teams up once again with veteran SoCal producer and artist Ariano on Deserted Oceans. Titled after a clever twist on where each artist hails from (Def-i from the deserts of New Mexico, Ariano from the beaches of the West Coast), the album is an elevated version of the artistry fans have come to expect from Def-i.
Deserted Oceans showcases Def-i in his prime – His lyrics are purposeful, and his wordplay nuanced, laden with intelligent metaphors and double entendre. His MC stylings are multi-faceted, flowing effortlessly from rapid-fire bars to a slowed-down cadence. His message speaks naked truth to power, underpinned with hope and positivity.
The production on the album is moody, raw and heavy with bass. Ariano manages to underscore his hard-hitting production with an ethereal quality that lays a solid foundation for Def-i to – as Ariano puts it – “rap his ass off.”
Deserted Oceans brings together coast-to-coast talent, with features from Atlanta rapper T.R.3 and visuals from Memphis-based visual artist, Nosey42, from New Mexico-based violinist Sage Cornelius and poet, writer and artist Tanaya Winder, to West Coast artists Ami Kim, Josh Dominguez, DJ LDontheCut, and of course, Ariano.
OMG!!! I could not wait till Friday to check out some new music to forget about this coronavirus if only for a couple of hours, and you will not be disappointed either! For one, I am still cthu on Lil Uzi Vert dropping a deluxe edition of his new album “Eternal Atake”. The reason I am laughing is not to clown his album what so ever!! My reason is due to the fact he just dropped last Friday!! Thankfully, he added some tracks that are definitely on the level that I have gotten used to and I appreciate it!
Rich The Kid dropped his project that has me ready to do more research on it for right now I am sitting in the middle with my thoughts on this! I am a Rich The Kid fan…best to believe you will get a dope album with fire ass beats too!
I want to shout out Cleveland’s own Doe Boy who not only stays consistent, he also is making a a real name for himself outside of Cleveland, and what I mean by that is he is featured on quite a few recently dropped albums like Young Thugs most recent album.
Shout out to Jay Electronica for FINALLY dropping his album with Jay Z featured on majority of the tracks that could have been made back in 2010 but who knows! LOL
My honorable mentions for dope ass albums of the week are Don Toliver, Jucee Froot, and Doe Boy.
Make sure to stay tuned THIS SUNDAY for the new 2020 season of HIT OR MISS SUNDAYS!!!!! Have a great weekend and WASH YO HANDS!!
2x Grammy-nominated Haas G (of The UMC’s) aka Fantom of the Beat and Rhymrcka exude incomparable producer/emcee chemistry in “Look Out Boy.” The single/video takes the lead off Fantom’s “Audiodrome” album, available everywhere music is sold.
Fantom of the Beat presents “Audiodrome” the album on Spotify and Apple Music
Fantom weaves together an intense blend of melodic soul, aggressive bass, and piercing drums as a canvas for Rhymrcka to flow over. The ‘look out’ theme is reiterated throughout the record by Rhymrcka’s cutthroat lyrics and punchlines.
Not new to the game, the streets, or life; this duo lead with transparent footsteps and eyes wide open. They’re able to shine in the day and move in darkness simply because they’re immune to haters and the snake-like venom they spew. Fantom and Rhymrcka are ahead of the ops, unloyal dime pieces, crews with hidden agendas, and even envious family members.
“Look Out Boy” is a simple message delivered NY style, leaving traces of armor, concrete chalk, and dusted flames behind. Watch “Look Out Boy” and connect with NY’s notorious duo below.
