NEW VIDEO: Hightauer ft Soulcat E-Phife & Marie – MMIB (MusikmachenimBlock)

Coming to you all the way from Vienna, Austria, rapper Hightauer presents the multi-language first single “MMIB” featuring fellow Austrian MC/producer Soulcat E-Phife and vocalist Marie off his upcoming EP “Xeno”.

Afrofuturistic rapper and beatmaker Hightauer met the tough, sophisticated and soulful female MC/producer Soulcat this year and immediately felt a mutual creative vibe. They wrote the lyrics to “MMIB” (produced by Kapitel Kool & Jahcopin) in a single day, drinking Gin Tonic on the rocks, recorded right away and collaborated with one of the finest jazzy voices Austria currently has to offer. “MMIB” (Makingmusicontheblock) or in german: “MusikmachenimBlock” featuring Marie is this hypebreaking trio’s homage to the oldschool of Hip Hop. The music video incorporates elements from the legendary “Drop” video by The Pharcyde, another proof of the strong 90’s affinity of this group.

Hightauer’s new EP “Xeno” will be available in all digital music stores on 9/25.

NEW MUSIC: DJ Alkemy & Kerry Georgina – Fool’s Paradise (Feat Melo)

Hailing from South Wales, UK, DJ Alkemy teams up with West Wales songstress Kerry Georgina for a slice of Soulful reflection. Fool’s Paradise, the constant struggle of working life, love and it’s impact on our natural artistic impulses.

DJ Alkemy is a producer and DJ and one half of Applied Science & Wasp-18b. “Fool’s Paradise” marks Alkemy’s first, but not last, foray into Soul music.

Kerry Georgina, Singer-songwriter from West Wales and winner of the Roland Music Award for ‘Best Performer’ in 2012 is inspired by everything from 90’s Hip Hop to the classic sounds of Motown. Her sound is effortlessly soulful, but her voice is able to transcend categorical styles and is suited to an array of genres.

Today, DJ Alkemy and Kerry Georgina present to you “Fool’s Paradise”, the title track and first single off their upcoming collaborative EP (out July 24th).

NEW VIDEO: Ethemadassassin – Children Of The Night

Ethemadassassin is back with “Children Of The Night,” off the upcoming “Bear Handz 4: Dark Side Of The Mountain.” Swedish producer, Twelvebit, provides the ghostly musical backdrop as E uses the backstreets of Amsterdam to detail how the powers of the moonlight energizes those who make moves in the shadows at night.

With 7 albums, 2 EP’s, numerous international collaborations, and over 15 years in the music industry, Los Angeles (by way of North Carolina) emcee, ethemadassassin, is the physical embodiment of dedication, perseverance, independent artistry, and hustle.

Ethemadassassin had an eventful 2018, dropping 2 EP’s, (“Motivations” with Luse Kanz, produced by THE WDSMN, “Bear Handz: Magmatic” produced by QuakeMobb) and his 4th solo album (“Bear Handz 2: Bear Market” produced by Nazar).

Ethemadassassin started 2019 off with a super bang, releasing his 5th solo album, “Bear Handz 3: Animal House,” produced by ShortFuZe with features from Celinski The Mayor, J.Bond (of Illpo), O.G. Bobby Ne’gro, Pisto Pop, Sneek Rothstein, and Luse Kanz.

Baltimore native, Sean-Toure’ Thames is known as a music legend in his hometown. Making his break as a solo artist into popular music culture with 2003’s Rhyme Manifesto, 2009’s Sean-Toure’ Remix Project, and 2012’s Sound Channeller, The Invisible Man, the Baltimore Music Producer/Emcee has continued to help build the legacy of his Rosachi Music Group label. His keen skills of gripping narratives and melodic cadences over his robust music production are among the slew of reasons why he has become a stable for making great music.

In 2012, his label home Rosachi Music Group announced a joint distribution and collaboration deal with the Legendary Fat beats NYC and Los Angeles. Since then, Sean’s success as a music producer and community activist has catapulted him into another stratosphere.

Bay Area legend DJ RasCue releases the second volume of his “Got Kidney?” compilation for the 10 year anniversary of his project for Organ Donor Awareness

Welcome to the Compilation Soundtrack “Got Kidney? Volume 2”. This collection of music is in support of Organ Donor Awareness, Nutrition, Health Education and Safety. Compiled by longtime SF-Bay Area, CA “DJ RasCue (Various Blends/Cali Agents)”, a renal failure(kidney disease) survivor and recent kidney transplant recipient, this “mixed-genre” compilation features Underground Hip-Hop, International, Latin and Reggae independent artists from around the World!!

We are delighted to introduce a Volume 2 to this great collection of Independent Artists Worldwide! Similar to our Got Kidney? Ten-Year Anniversary Edition, this compilation includes Extra Tracks, Exclusive Selections, Video Links and Additional Bonus Songs!!

With an even more eclectic line-up a second time around, Volume 2 finds our Artists covering topics from Health to Nutrition, Motivation and Inspiration, Illness and Abuse, Strength and Preservation, Relationships, Injustice, Culture and Community and More! Longtime Bay Area, CA and kidney transplant recipient DJ RasCue is a veteran DJ of the San Francisco scene for over 25 years voted “Best All-Around” DJ for SF in 2000(SF Clubby Awards). He is a member of the rap trio “Various Blends” with Solefather Rasco and Friz-B the Free Thinker and former DJ for Rasco, Cali Agents and Zion-I.
Diagnosed with Renal Failure(Kidney Disease) in 2007, spent 8 years on dialysis and received his transplant in 2015. The Got Kidney? Foundation was started to support Organ Donor Awareness, Nutrition, Mental Health Awareness and Health Education.

After years of releases on labels such as BBE, Sonar Kollektiv and Rush Hour and with a multitude of works with award winning artists such as Pugs Atomz, Steve Spacek, Georgia Anne Muldrow and Blu, Inkswel is finally launching his own record label with his partner Charli Umami. Enter Inner Tribe. A play on words, the labels ethos speaks to invoke the vibe and spiritual connection within us all. The innovative new label is built upon the very foundations that first inspired the couple, that being a love of Hip-Hop and Soul music. Inner Tribe’s debut release is a double single, premiering Inkswel’s Mind Beats Series- which will eventually take its final form as an album.

The title track ‘The Sun’ features vocals from the extensively prolific Ohmega Watts, known for his classic albums like ‘Watts Happening’ and ‘The Find’ as well as his role in the infamous Lightheaded Crew. The song also features lush vocals from Lailah Reich out of Detroit and additional horns from Sydney Horn player Sloth. To back up the title joint, Inkswel has delivered the bonus track ‘Spread Love’ featuring Tableek from legendary 90s New York crew Maspyke. As Bleek and Inkswel had collaborated previously on Inkswel’s 2016 BBE Records album, it was only natural that they continued vibing. Inkswel brings new sounds to the spectrum that effortlessly guide the lyrical message of connection and hope. All of this backed up by visionary artwork from Michal Rafaj, Inner Tribe’s debut release will forever shine bright like THE SUN!

The single will be released June 8th.
