Recently, Rosenberg from one of New York City’s top urban radio station, Hot 97, gave an interview with the lovely, Amber Rose!
I can say that I truly enjoyed this interview even though it was very short, but interesting enough to hold my attention. Out of all the Amber Rose interviews I have seen I can say that her energy with Rosenberg seemed to allow her to talk more freely about certain topics from her past relationship with Kanye West.
The interview was held at her home, in her backyard I assume…sitting close to her pool but not too far from the make shift fire set up to keep them warm. Amber had a glass of red wine she was sipping on & even referenced how she had a little buzz from it.
They instantly start off talking about her relationship with rapper, Kanye West, and what happened to her after their break up. Amber stated how she never asked of anything from Kanye after the break up, even while being broke while famous. Amber stated “I had to become an entrepreneur quick…you don”t get money from that…I walk outside an its like Oh…Amber Rose! But i’m broke af!”
Entrepreneur, Ex Stripper, Millionaire, Hoe, Baby Mama, Ex Wife, Girlfriend, Daughter, Tennis Ball head…. Keep it going π pic.twitter.com/zFFEkkp4cO
Amber mentioned how when everyone learned about her past life being an exotic dancer, people was not so quick to embrace the lifestyle like they did when Cardi B or even Blac Chyna became famous. She is glad to feel like she did help to break down those doors in preventing other women who like her came from the exotic dancing background.
As for her love life goals in the future, Amber stated that she did go to see a therapist questioning why she keeps attracting narcissistic sociopaths, no names were mentioned of course. Rosenberg stated that he personally feels as if her “new” relationship is more on a positive level. Amber confirmed that her “new” relationship is that! She stated that his name is Monte, who is from Flint, MI, and loves her, her son, and is just like her best friend.
Even though, Amber did not mention exactly what Monte does as a career, she totally believes in dating a man who has his own. A man who will not look to take from her, but help add to it for she helps a lot with her family. Lastly, Amber mentioned something that I swear I did not know…. she is the reason why Nicki Minaj was featured on the famous hit “Monster” by Kanye!!!! I love women who support other women….YOU GO GIRL!

Hey fam! You guys just do not know how thirsty I was to get to my desk at work, put my earbuds in, and rock out to Travis Scott’s new album “Astroworld”. The album which has 17 tracks does not disappoint at all! Like, it is one of those albums you can listen to from the beginning to the end!
Now it’s time for me to dissect the album for you….starting with the first track “Stargazing” which comes in with a heavy bass line & your typical Travis Scott sound. On this track, I feel like he is prepping you for the lists of unknown surprises that comes with this album i.e. no mentions of any artists being featured on the track listing. But, while listening to this track the beat changes so fast that you will think you’re on track 2 already.
Track 2 is when the first surprise comes in…..”Carousel” The Big Tuck sample enters in quietly but gets louder! Then you hear a feature with Frank Ocean!!!! Like where in the hell has this dude been???
Track 3 “Sicko Mode” slides in with a Drake feature!!!!! In my head I’m just thinking to myself like Drake stays winnning! I do get a little mad how the beat switched so fast after Drake said like 1 bar! But hey…the album still held my attention anticipating for more! One thing I will mention is that this album felt as if it was extra songs within the songs. For, after Travis finish his part, the beat kicks back up again with Drake back on track going IN!!
Track 4 “R.I.P. Screw” is a nice screwed up track paying homage to the OG from Houston, TX who started the chopped & screwed up movement, and included a feature from Swae Lee. Their is one part in the song that I think Travis chopped & my goofy self thought maybe productions made a little error LOL
Track 5 “Stop Trying To Be God” is one of FAVORITE tracks and do you know why??? The features on this track include Cleveland’s own Kid Cudi, James Blake, and the LIVING LEGEND STEVIE WONDER!!!!! I love the hook “Stop trying to be God…thats not who you are” something I know every person can relate to. I even seen on Instagram, Akron native Lebraun James working out to this song. I see Travis just dropped a video to this just 2 days ago….check it out!
Track 6 comes in smoothly with a Juice WRLD feature called “No Bystanders”. Once the beat fully drops you will hear a Three Six Mafia sample which got me hyped of course!
Track 7 “Skeletons” which has features including Tame Impala, The Weeknd, and my favorite Pharrell. I admit this track is not one of my favorites off this album, but Travis tried to get a little deep & emotional on this song which can be truly felt when the next track comes on.
Track 8 “Wake Up” is literally beautiful song! Of course, he must be talking about his feelings about Kylie Jenner, who is the mother of his daughter, Stormi Webster. This song is so sweet that I can already imagine what the video should look like. I can imagine Travis & Kylie laid up in bed tastefully naked with the covers helping to hide certain parts of their body while they play with each other in a loving & affectionate manner.
Track 9 “5% Tint” has a sample from The Goodie Mob’s classic “Cell Therapy” which got me very excited for I doubt this new generation has no idea who The Goodie Mob is!
Track 10 “NC-17” comes in with my mind asking the question….Are you ready to turn up?? Me as the listener I respond “HELL FUCK YEA!!!” LOL. This song has 21 Savage featured on it talking about the thotties of course! I can picture this track being played at all your local strip clubs.
Track 11 “Astrothunder” is a cool track to vibe out too..nothing that’s exciting, I call these album fillers.
Track 12 “Yosemite” has NAV & Gunna featured on this song. I am trying to tell you…if this album do not have you sold already then I don’t know what else to tell you! This track comes in with a hard beat to vibe to, and stays right on flow with the album theme.
Track 13 “Can’t Say” has a Don Toliver featured on this hot track. Another nice vibed out track getting you prepped to the closing of this album or what you may think is getting close to the end.
Track 14 “Who? What?” has Take Off & Quavo from my favorite and Grammy nominated group The Migos featured on this track. Mind you, we really do not hear from Take Off alot so I can admit that I was shocked to hear him! I had to listen twice just to make sure it was not Offset!
Track 15 “Butterfly Effect” which is the first single Travis dropped from off this album about a year ago and is currently on your local radio stations play list.
Track 16 “Houstonfornication” a song talking about how if and when he needs a vacation, best believe you can find him in his city.
Track 17 “Coffee Bean” the last track where Travis is reflecting on how it is to be a boyfriend to Kylie Jenner, and he is not saying that its terrible, no, he stating how he is not what “others” expected her to be with. He said that he calls himself “Mr. Bad News” when honestly…I think he actually is one of the best people to come into her life and vice versa.
Overall, it is still too early for me to declare if this album is a classic. I will say that this album will be one of my favorite albums to play from the beginning to the end with no interruptions. “Astroworld” reminds me of Memphis Bleek album “Coming Of Age”…it is not listed as a classic to the masses, but to those who truly loved the Roc-A-Fella Label, it is a classic! I heard that Travis stated that this album is supposed to be a part of a trilogy, and was actually supposed to been released prior to his second album “Rodeo”. While I did enjoy his second album, with “Astroworld” you can really hear his growth and how he is evolving has an artist as well as a producer. Great album Travis Scott!!!
I know you guys remember the Pink Trap House rapper 2 Chainz introduced us to in 2017….well say your good byes because the house will be demolished soon!
Per Atlanta News, the attention grabber house will be demolished in the very soon! Atlanta-based rapper 2 Chainz leased an unremarkable home at 1530 Howell Mill Road in west Midtown and dumped a coat of paint on it that resembled Pepto Bismol. He etched the word βTRAPβ in black lettering and parked a wide-body classic sedan in front of it. Even the stove that also sat in the front of the house was painted pink too.
All of this was to promote his 2017 album, βPretty Girls Like Trap Music.β The record was a success, debuting at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart and eventually becoming certified gold. Fans flocked to the Pink Trap House in droves just to take pics at this pink house, something that nobody has ever done to promote an album. Unfortunately, soon the house will be nothing but a memory.
Atlanta’s @2chainz found the solution for staying relevant! Pretty Girls Love Trap Music! He’s making sure to collect his “Trap Check” ππ₯π pic.twitter.com/W0KrcyuEAc
To Rohrig and Cartel Properties, the owners of the home, the 0.17 acres of dirt that the home sits on is more valuable than the house. According to Fulton County property records, the land at the address is valued at $237,600 while the house is valued at $194,000.
The house is still standing, its not painted pink anymore, its now all white. The home is currently empty and basically looking like the rest of the houses on that street. I can bet that without the address of the Pink Trap House, no one would know which house it is as per one tweet made by a fan:
I was super excited to go see @2chainzβs pink trap house in Atlanta this weekend only to find out it was just repainted ππ
β Kelsey Nussbaumer (@KelsNussbaumer) July 14, 2018
Thereβs a Cartel Properties sign stuck in the window that says the home is available, but donβt be fooled. The one-time Pink Trap House is not for sale.
Rohrig says he has no timetable for demolishing it. Built in 1940, the house has five rooms and a total of 899 square feet of residential space. It also features a full basement and a covered porch.
As a fan of 2 Chainz, I totally applaud what he did with the house while he had it! I read of people using the house to hold exercise classes, performed free HIV tests, even other local artists used the house as a background for their own music video, and a place for tourists.
MegaDon got blessed to open up for one of my favorite artists, Project Pat, at the Grog Shop in Cleveland Hts, OH!!
I wrote a review for Cleveland, Ohio artist MegaDon a while back for his Edgewater Ep, so when he told the station about an upcoming show for which he would be opening up for Project Pat, I totally could not pass up the oppertunity!
The concert was held at the legendary Grog Shop in the historic Coventry Village area located in the suburb of Cleveland Heights, Ohio. Since this was my very first time attending a show at the Grog Shop, I was very excited, and could not wait to turn up!
Prior to MegaDon coming to the stage, there was a group of young men who had “RIP XXX” on they shirts. A very cool dance group, they literally held the crowd’s attention…peep the video below!
After the artists with the “RIP XXX” left the stage, it was time for MegaDon to enter! I totally felt his energy mixed with a little bit of excitement and probably a little bit of nervousness, with an overall stage presence that demanded attention. Some of the songs MegaDon performed were from the Edgewater Ep. You could tell the crowd was feeling it by the wave of hands in the air vibing to the music.
Once his set was over, MegaDon shouted out his family who came to support, 216 The Beat radio station, Cream, the station owner and even me, Mz. Slim Goody! I admit it felt good to finally support one of the artists who supports the station & puts on for my City of Cleveland!!!
For more of MegaDon’s performance check out the video below!
Yesterday while scrolling through my time line on Instagram, I got to see the cover for XXL’s 2018 Freshman Class! First, shout out to my home state, OHIO, for Trippie Redd done made the cover. The artists that I am proud to see too are: Lil Pump, Blocboy JB, and Smokepurpp.
For the other artists to whom I am not familiar with, I want to congratulate too! I am a little bothered that some artists who I think should have been on the cover, wasnt. I thought Lil Baby was going to get on it, but I think he changed his mind. NBA Youngboy is a good one that was not picked. Bhad Bhabie, even though I do love to hate on this young girl, but her music do bang & garnered clout. Tekashi 69 did not make the cover either, prolly due to him doing humanatarian efforts out in Chicago LOL.
Who else do you all think should have made the cover for 2018?
Last night Drake finally dropped his response to Pusha T’s “The Story of Adidon” called “I’m Upset”
As I sit at my desk at work just ready to push some medical charges out, I logs into my YouTube to find a new Drake video…Im like whoa…do we FINALLY have a response from the Canadian Mist himself???
Well, I can say that he did not clap back at Pusha T with lyrical venom like we assumed he would. No…he did make some references to his questionable baby mother on the hook saying “Can’t go 50/50 with no ho”.
Overall, the most exciting part of the video was seeing the Degrassi reunion!!! For those who do not know, Drake starred in the show Degrassi, a Canadian born show from 2001 to 2009, whose character was Jimmy.
Drake’s fans got to see a slew of the fictional schoolβs most famous alumni, including Shane Kippel (Spinner), Stacey Farber (Ellie) Adamo Rugguiero (Marco), Lauren Collins (Paige), Jake Epstein (Craig), Christina Schmidt (Terri), Andrea Lewis (Hazel), Melissa McIntyre (Ashley), Linlyn Lue (Ms. Kwan), Stefan Brogren (Mr. Simpson), Jake Goldsbie (Toby), Marc Donato (Derek), Dalmar Abuzeid (Danny), AJ Saudin (Connor), Miriam MacDonald (Emma), Cassie Steele (Manny), Nina Dobrev (Mia), Sarah Barrable-Tishauer (Liberty), and Paula Brancati (Jane).
Thereβs even Ephraim Ellis, who played Rick β the student who shot Drakeβs character Jimmy in one of the showβs most iconic episodes, leaving him in a wheelchair.
Drake even made sure that he was not the only one with drama…his old class mates shared a few themselves! Thereβs vandalism, public intoxication, and even a bathroom stall hookup or two.
Mr. Simpson at one point even buys some drugs from two other famous Degrassi alum: Jay and Silent Bob (Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith).
I swear these days, anything that is remotely in reference to R Kelly’s music is feeling some type of heat right now! Why?? Obviously his fans are outraged that due to these recent kidnap and “slavery” type of allegations going around makes it quite hard to enjoy listening to his music. So much so that in May Spotify declared that they will make R Kelly’s and XXXTentacion’s music to not be as easily accessible as before with a “Hate Consent & Hateful Conduct” policy.
Sounds like a good idea right? Well….after Spotify had made their stance against R Kelly and XXTentacion’s music, their fans made sure to search out and play these artists songs more than usual! They literally brought both artist streaming stats to record highs that Spotify had no choice but to bring these artist’s music back!
In a statement released on Friday, the streaming service said it had created “confusion and concern”.
On Wednesday Spotify CEO Daniel Ek admitted it “could have done a much better job”.
On Friday, they explained the policy, which has 2 parts. The first, relating to the decision to remove artists from playlists if they were involved in “controversies”, has now been reversed.
“We created concern that allegations might affect artists’ chances of landing on a Spotify playlist and negatively impact their future,” the statement explains.
“Some artists even worried that mistakes made in their youth would be used against them. That’s not what Spotify is about.”
The second part focused on hate content, described as content whose principal purpose is to incite hatred or violence.
Spotify says this policy will remain but they clarified that “offensive, explicit, or vulgar content” don’t violate the terms.
Some artists feel as if its only hop hop music that’s being targeted. I think overall, Spotify wants to just stay out the clear of everything & hope to please everyone while still maintaining a safe musical environment.
Nigerians Celebrating World Cup theme song featuring Davido, Wizkid, and JJ Okocha that came out on June 1st!

One of Africa’s most celebrated artists, WizKid, made the announcement on Thursday that the official Nigeria National Team Collection is coming out on June 1st as well as a new World Cup Theme song who features Davido, Wizkid, and JJ Okocha.
What makes this announcement so special, is that Pepsi, the soft drink company, has joined the campaign as well! Since the announcment the video has been doing rounds on other social media sites featuring players from the Nigerian footbal team plus other celebrities such as Tiwi Savage.
In a campaign dubbed #NaijaAllTheWay speaks of a Naija Spirit that can not be defeated even when Nigerians lose. The artists and footballers proudly thump their chests in a salute, almost similar to the now famous Wakanda salute from Black Panther.
Unfortunately, the Super Eagles lost yesterday against England which deflated the hype that got 3 million of those jerseys sold just on Friday.
Nigeriaβs goalscorer in the game, Alex Iwobi is featured in the video, alongside another star player, Victor Moses, and the legendary Jay Jay Okocha.
The Super Eagles will face Croatia on June 16 at the Kaliningrad Stadium in their opening game, before taking on Iceland on June 22 at the Volgograd Arena, while their last group fixture is against Argentina at the Krestovsky Stadium, St.Petersburg.
#Team216TheBeatCleveland had the opportunity to broadcast live at the Artistic Rebels 3rd Anniversary party and dance competition.
The Cleveland team had the chance to broadcast live at the Artistic Rebels 3rd Anniversary party and dance competition in Beachwood, OH on May 19th. While my team was setting things up, I had the chance to check out the venue & meet the different dance crews who were participating in the competition. The first group, for which I already figured out who they was, the Artistic Rebels, who was dressed in all black with red lettering. The next group, TK Entertainment, hailing from my father’s & LeBron’s hometown, Akron, OH. One of the groups whose energy was I truly enjoyed was, Next Step. Then last but not least the group, Mute Crew.
As soon as 7:30pm came in one of 216 The Beats djs, Dj Raven, started playing on the 1s & 2s….a whole vibe entered the dance studio. Every time I turned my head it was someone dancing or doing their own dance move getting hyped! The dance competition did not start yet, so I assumed the dancers were just warming up to past time.
The energy was so positive throughout the whole event. I can admit, due to my busy schedule, I rarely get time to myself just to have fun, and I can say that not me, but the rest of 216 The Beat crew truly enjoyed ourselves. It felt like a mini melting pot. There was people of different races, for example, it was a guy, who just joined the Artistic Rebels, had came up to represent for his crew, people of all different ages…I think the oldest person was 50 and the youngest was 2 years old, and with all those teens there, nobody started any drama or fights.
The Artistic Rebels, which is an entertainment company who specializes in promotion, choreography and more, truly held a great and organized event. I loved seeing all the support from everyone who came out to the event, some even danced in the mirror by themselves LOL Their was 2 dancers that got my attention was a young girl, I believe she is part of TK Entertainment crew, can dance!! I also enjoyed watching this younger kid who looked to be about 8, he kept doing one of my favorite dance move that is hot right now!
Once the time changed to 9:30pm, the competition was ready to start! Unfortunately, I had to leave before the competition ended, but I will say is that EVERY crew brought it! The 3 winners were:
1st Place – Dauve
2nd Place – Ernie
3rd Place – Limbo Joe
On behalf of 216 The Beat Radio, we want to congratulate the winners!! I hope we will be back next year for the 4th anniversary.
Make sure to follow Artistic Rebels on ig @artisticrebels

Allow me to introduce you to our featured artist of the month, Gahtdamn. Coming from the historical town of Hopkins, South Carolina, is a fresh new artist who is ready to show the world his talent.
Prior to Gahtdamn starting his rap career, he used to only write for other artists such as his sister & cousin who are featured on his hot single “For The Love Of Money” which has a Bone Thugs N Harmony sample from a song off their Grammy award winning album E.1999 & Eternal. After awhile, the rapper , who still writes, deciding he wanted to rap and things have been moving ever since! Gahtdamn describes his music as “riding around” music. That type of music you can picture yourself on a warm day, riding around with all the windows down, with my music on blast, just enjoying the vibe. Gahtdamn had his first performance down in Atlanta for Dj Pressure’s mixtape release party for which he advised that he performed very well & the crowd loved him! Gahtdamn is being received so well from fans that his music has been featured on a few radio stations here in the US and overseas. Overall, the interview me & Gahtdamn had was great and his vibe is cool! I have a feeling that we will be hearing his name very soon… just stay tuned!!!! Make sure to check out Dj Pressure mixtape:
